It's official, Casey is back for Motegi!

Also, props to Dani Pedrosa who was asked about team orders and his response was that he wouldn't ask for help because the champ should beat everyone including his teammate. Also said that he and Casey were winners and should race to win.

It's lucky Moto3 races are so close cause they sound crap.

Casey had bike issues early and was forced onto his second bike only to have brake issues in FP2 and finished 7th fasted. Hopefully everything gets sorted for Qualifying tomorrow and he can get a spot on the front row and snatch a win sunday! :D

Stoner apparently a bit proppy on his foot after FP3. 7th fastest again and he's having to compensate for his ankle with his arms much like he did at Indy. Arm pump is a pretty likely scenario for him in the race.
In other good new, Ant West finished Moto2 FP3 in 10th! Now if only he can carry that form through to qualifying...

What a ripper sooky-sooky-la-la Sandro Cortese had at teammate Danny Kent, who won the race,at the end of the Moto 3 race.
What a spoilt little brat he is.Hope he screws up and does lose the championship [a miracle if he did lose it when he's 56pts up] somehow after that disgraceful display.Kent did NOTHING wrong except pass you on the last lap.

Yeah that was a bit crazy! Kent did nothing wrong! Folger stayed more calm after that crazy move by Salom! More of an error by Cortese himself than anything. Crazy Moto3 race. Great race by Marquez after failing to get off the line and went straight to the back of the pack at turn one to win it! Although Pol tried his guts out too and was kinda cheering him on. Pedrosa is in the form of his life at the moment! Good return for Casey too thought he rode well under the circumstances, Also so unlucky for Cal!

That has to be the best come back in the sport by Marc Marquez after a bad start.

Great work by Casey who is riding no where near his best.

Some pretty dramatic racing in Japan yesterday.

Pedrosa is in the form of his life and currently appears unbeatable. Only cruel luck at Misano has stopped him winning the last 6 straight. Lorenzo must be highly relieved to have his points buffer because he currently looks completely outgunned. Seeing the Honda so strong in finishing the season really opens up the "what if" Casey hadn't gotten injured...
Nice to see Bautista celebrate his deserved new contract in style with a ripper battle against Crutchlow. Just a shame we were robbed a grandstand finish when Cal ran out of fuel on the last lap. :(

Moto2 was eventful to say the least! I've never seen anyone start a race out of gear before and Marquez bludgeoning of the field on the first lap was quite amazing. That he and Espargaro should again finish head-to-head was quite fitting, they are clearly the class of the crop. An impressive ride by Tito Rabat also, perhaps it will be the making of him. Ant West rode to a credible 12th place though I was hoping for a top 10.

Moto3 was as dramatic a finish as I've seen. Unlike most races in this class, the majority of the race was quite sedate and gentlemanly. Clearly they were saving the crazy pills for the end! Firstly, Luis Salom (not completely unexpectedly) had an almighty brain explosion taking out long time leader Jonas Folger in trying to pass three riders in one corner. Then to see Cortese crash when he looked like strolling to victory and completely lose the plot on the cool down lap was quite bizarre. I'll cut him some slack and suggest the emotions were running a little high when he nearly lost his head on Tonucci's footpeg but his remonstrating with Danny Kent was strange indeed. Anyway, it was a well deserved win by Kent and an impressive ride by the young Tonucci.

The MotoGP paddock held a memorial for Marco Simoncelli yesterday, unveiling a plaque dedicated to his memory at the corner that claimed his life last year.

In happier news, Stoner finished day one a close second fastest behind Pedrosa, and just ahead of Lorenzo in third place. All the fastest times were set in FP1 as rain hit before FP2 and the track never fully dried out.

And in bizarre news, Sandro Cortese's title chances have been further enhanced with Maverick Vinales walking out on his team for the final three races. Despite signing a new contract with the Blusens Avinita team only a couple of weeks ago, Maverick has cracked the sads and called Avintia a "second division team" stating that he needs to win Moto3 next year and he can't do it with them. It will be interesting to see how this plays out between the two disgruntled parties.

Love to see the love and support for Marco one year on and in the same location that claimed his life, It's a nice touch with the plaque.

Great news about Casey! Seems to be finding his rhythm again as a few people have said his movement on the bike is clearly better than that of Japan, and to finish FP1 only a tenth and a bit of Pedrosa is fantastic! Here hoping it continues for Qual and the race!

Weird one with Vinales. He said his machinery isn't any good, and that he was offered contracts from rival teams that he was never told about before re-signing with his current team. Sandro surely can't believe his luck!

Ant West 2nd in Moto2!! Well done Westy!! In dreadful conditions! Unlucky Marquez crashing out but with Pol coming 12th? Hopfully he can be crowned Moto2 champ at Phillip Island! Also congrats to Cortese on being crowned Moto3 champ and Khairuddin on 2nd at his home GP. Now MotoGP Cmon Casey!

Ant West must still be one of, if not the best wet weather rider there is, he just flies in the wet.

MotoGP about to start, hopefully Casey can keep up with the pace and get a podium, baby steps on the way to a win at the Island.
