There's not, because it's anywhere on the arm below the shoulder that counts as handball.

There is.

A player standing there with his arms out in a goal keeper like stance that gets his on the hand is a handball long before a player who is in the air and moving past the ball when it strikes them on the upper arm.

if you're showing a 10 year old what a handball is you'll show them the Brighton appeal, not the Arsenal one.

Both ball to hand. The rule is anywhere on the arm. Chambers arms were closer to his side than the Brighton lads anyway.

A handball occurs if any player, other than the team’s goalkeeper within his own penalty area, deliberately handles the ball when in play. A ball can be handled with any part of the arm, from the tips of a player’s fingers right up to the shoulder.

Just give us the cup now.
Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves mate. I don't think ManU will be that rubbish against Cambridge twice in a row. And given that it seems that Van Gaal must be under some sort of pressure, I imagine he'd like the idea of the taking the cup; the EPL is basically Chelsea v Chelsea now.

Confident we'll get the job done against Cambridge at OT but that's not really the point. Don't really give a flying rats clacker about the FA Cup on the whole but we shouldn't be not scoring against a league 2 team especially with a strong line up. Phil Jones taking corners ffs. Hard to believe you can spend so much and still be so shite

And why not? Every chance of winning back to back FA Cups - and I reckon Wenger's got them starting their second half of the season revivial early this year.

Starting to purr... And getting players back.

Bastards....
But singing que serra, que serra, whatever will be, will be, we're going to Wembley in the 28th minute of a 4th round match?!?!?!?!?
ESPECIALLY the day after Chelsea loses to Bradford, City lose to Middlesbrough etc?
Big Premier League sides can go down anytime in the cup, but they're acting like they're automatic for the semi finals?

Sheesh.

It's a common chant sung at almost every cup game. We sang it when we beat Southend in the fourth round and Arsenal did likewise after beating Spurs in the third round last year as well.

They were actually singing it pre-game.

How dare they ...

FC United of Manchester showed their namesakes how things were done as they sealed a place in the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy on Saturday.
While Manchester United struggled to progress in the FA Cup and were held to a draw by Cambridge United on Friday night, the Northern Premier League side, formed by United supporters in 2005, moved closer to a Wembley appearance with a 3-1 win over Fylde.
Former Liverpool forward Craig Lindfield got the party started with two goals in the first 20 minutes.

Didn't realise it was common to do it so early in the cup.
Thought one would at least wait to the quarters.
Maybe look into these traditions before taking a pot shot at Arsenal then.

I think you're lost. This is the FA 'Cup' thread.
Organised by the FA.
It's a cup.
Seemed appropriate especially with Man Utd and Liverpool references.
