For the first time in a long time we have substantial depth. Look at it as opportunity for a whole range of players.
Hammer is barely worried about it,no reason we should be.
Plenty of time for them to be ready for round 1.Both young and fit I expect them both fit and firing barring any mishaps.

Agreed: if today was February 27 instead of January 27, there might be cause for concern. 9.5 weeks before Rd 1 and 7.5 weeks before last NAB cup game. I dont think its a good thing if we have 3 players play against Freo with no games under their belt, plus maybe no Monfries and no Ryder due to provisional or full suspension.
A little off topic but it's pre season so who cares. Saw Monfries and Stewart at the Crown Casino in Melbourne on Australia Day playing in the two day no limit hold'em terminator tournament. Both managed to reach the cash stage (top 18) and as soon as they did Gus eliminated himself as quickly as possible. He went all in with 7 2 off suit (worst hand in poker) which should have been punished by the opposition hand but Monfries paired up twice on on the turn and river to double his chips. I started laughing because he really should have lost and he looked over and gave a little smirk because he knew as well but the following hand he went all in again and wasn't so lucky the second time around. Retrospectively it was obvious he was just trying to make the cash and get out ASAP but at the time it was really confusing when he shoved with 7 2. I watched Stewart for a little bit after that but nothing exciting happened so I left. Turns out he finished fourth which won him $10k.

I remember ages ago they did a Power poker tournament at Adelaide Casino. Player on each table. Had Josh Mahony on mine. Didn't do very well, but it was good fun.
Obviously not ideal, but Trengove recovers well, and Chad is a type I feel can cover missing a month of pre season.He can get a run or 2 in in the backend of the NAB challenge or do the Maggies have any scratchies he could slot into before the Freo game? As for the ASADA stuff I can't see any suspensions coming based on what info has leaked out.

Like the logic.I highly doubt Freo hold any fears for our playing group after the semi final win.A game I will be attending and expecting a win.

Trengove may recover well but as many of us know.Every year older we get our recovery from injury takes a little longer
This is very true.But what is he 25? With leading fitness staff and facilities I dare say that's a huge advantage we didn't get in whatever field be it sporting, work whatever we have all been injured in
What has leaked out? They are already provisionally suspended.Maybe I have missed something because everything I've read points to suspensions.

Better these injuries out the way now than at start of April or mid season.
Chaddy, Hammer and Jacko have the Dubai base under their belts which means plenty....
If hes not right for round one, it gives someone (like Amon) a go.
