Squiggle tips Saints at 51% chance -- What's your tip? -- Team line-ups »
For the first time in a long time we have substantial depth. Look at it as opportunity for a whole range of players. So its possible come round 1 against Freo we could be missing Monfies,Ryder,Trengove and Wingard...
Hammer is barely worried about it,no reason we should be.Hammer a hammy not good :-(
For Trengove and Wingard they will be back to full training in 6 weeks. So they have about a months space between their return and round 1.
Plus another 2 odd months to wait, people are getting bored now any story is wanted by the football public I feel.yeah let's be realistic, our first game is on APRIL 5. these minor surgery stories are probably only amplified because we are big favorites, news on big players grabs attention after all
Agreed: if today was February 27 instead of January 27, there might be cause for concern. But round 1 is still 68 days away: hopefully we'll be close to full strengthyeah let's be realistic, our first game is on APRIL 5. these minor surgery stories are probably only amplified because we are big favorites, news on big players grabs attention after all
Obviously not ideal, but Trengove recovers well, and Chad is a type I feel can cover missing a month of pre season. He can get a run or 2 in in the backend of the NAB challenge or do the Maggies have any scratchies he could slot into before the Freo game? As for the ASADA stuff I can't see any suspensions coming based on what info has leaked out.9.5 weeks before Rd 1 and 7.5 weeks before last NAB cup game. I dont think its a good thing if we have 3 players play against Freo with no games under their belt, plus maybe no Monfries and no Ryder due to provisional or full suspension.
Sobering but true?
I expect us to get over Freo
because I want us to
Trengove may recover well but as many of us know.Every year older we get our recovery from injury takes a little longerObviously not ideal, but Trengove recovers well, and Chad is a type I feel can cover missing a month of pre season. He can get a run or 2 in in the backend of the NAB challenge or do the Maggies have any scratchies he could slot into before the Freo game? What has leaked out? They are already provisionally suspended.Maybe I have missed something because everything I've read points to suspensions.

Better these injuries out the way now than at start of April or mid season.
Chaddy, Hammer and Jacko have the Dubai base under their belts which means plenty....
If hes not right for round one, it gives someone (like Amon) a go.
