Wonderful to see Estrella doing so well. Cracking the top 100 and now going deep in a 250 tournament with his first win over a top 20 player. Not bad for a 33 year old from the Dominican Republic who before this year had spent most of his career ranked in the 200-300 range.

Great to see Tomic getting some good fortune (at a clay event no less). That semi final lineup is so odd, with 3 guys well over 30, plus Tomic. Hopefully Tomic can win the tournament and silence the haters, love his game. Given how Tomic generally goes when he gets this deep in a tournament, one would suspect he will give 100% and take the title (although defending champion Karlovic would have to be favourite, and these old guys will fight tooth and nail for a twilight shot at a title).

Then the Zverev and VEB stories this week are both stunning.

Lastly, Ferrer could potentially win his biggest title this week since 2012, would be a good change of fortune for him as well.

Have watched a bit of Zverev this week, been very impressive. I saw him play in Tralagon during our summer playing a junior event and while he had talent, this certainly wasn't expected.

Tomic really has a chance for another title if he's motivated. Getting back into the top 100 should be enough for the WC I think.
