Three huge dudes using a man's neck as a communal pogo-stick is innocent and innocuous now? This is why you don't let your kids play rugby, well this and it being a rubbish game.

Not sure what you base this on but wow...it certainly is an emotional reaction.
What happenned is a tragedy but do you recall casey tatungi ( not sure if spelt correctly)
Sport is full of horrible accidents but its these Reactions that create unjustified hysteria.

Mrs G currently ranked 34 overall in RealDT with one of the worst fantasy sides I've ever seen. No skill involved in that game. :rainbow:

What's she ranked in SC this year? Still remember the demolition job she did on us in SC Finals last year.

20k ATM she has a gun team though which is a bit surprising. I'd still back her to be a top 1k team at the end of the year.

Yeah, I'd back her in too. We're in the movement rounds now, will be top 5k in two weeks at the most.

Way better team than current 20k ranking, IMHO. (weak defence withstanding)

Yeah it's extremely similar to my team, after the trades I made last week.

Swallow, Suckling, Shaw, Langdon, McDonald, Georgiou, Langford, Toohey (donut rookie).

Ablett, Selwood, Beams, Cotchin, Murphy, Tyson, Dunstan, Polec, Aish, Michie.

Mumford, Sandi, Currie, King.

Zorko, Martin, Dangerfield, Wingard, Mitchell, Caddy, Impey, Rohan.

With a bit of cash left over. Our rank difference is quite surprising, considering how similar our set-ups are.

Is that Mrs. G's team??
Hmmmmmm cheapo back line.. How did I let myself get talked out of going down that path.

Starting to think Mrs G is a legend in her own right because she not persuaded by conflicting view on here ;)

Dear Carlton members,

The club has taken the decision to part with defender Josh Bootsma, following inappropriate use of something called ‘social media’.

This decision has not been taken lightly and has followed a thorough process.

The first step, was Andrew McKay knocking on my door and telling me that Josh Bootsma had breached club policy regarding social media.

I told Andrew I didn’t understand any words in that sentence.

‘Who’s Josh Bootsma?’ I asked and he reminded me he was a ‘defender’ for the Northern Blues.

‘That curly haired guy?’ I asked.

Andrew said social media was popular with the young people, which alarmed me.

I told him we had no place for communists at Carlton or in Australia for that matter.

He was quick to point out it is ‘social’ not ‘socialist’ and is mainly people posting pictures of what they just ate or updating people on banal things like how hot or cold the weather is.

We quickly called in some consultants to brief me on Twitter, Snapchat and Faceplace. After twelve hours of listening to these eleven-year-olds, I think I really got a handle on it.

Anyway, apparently Bootsma’s been putting inappropriate material on the social medias.

This is something that is apparently against the Carlton’s and the AFL’s ‘proper use of social media’ policy.

It baffles me that doing these things need to be spelt out at all.

What ever happened to romance? If I was a young guy, the only people I’d be tweeting are a girl’s parents, to ask permission to take their daughter to a dance.

While we won’t exactly miss Bootsma on the field, it’s another reminder that society is going to hell in a hand basket. Or as I now like to say LOL (I think that fits in there).

SACKED Blues defender Josh Bootsma propositioned a young fan for sex within 15 minutes of connecting on social media, it has been alleged.

One of the women at the centre of the scandal says the 21-year-old sent her explicit images, constantly asked her around to his house and told her he was not in a relationship even though his girlfriend was pregnant.

Police have not ruled out investigating the footballer, dumped by Carlton on Tuesday, after the extent of his sexting was revealed.

In a five-month trail of messages on social media forums including Facebook, Instagram, Kik and Snapchat, Bootsma appears to groom at least one Carlton fan before blatantly asking for sexual favours.

“I think you are a sexy girl who deserves to be treated like a princess,’’ one of the expectant father’s messages read.

Then later: “Are you up for a sex session on Tuesday?’’

One image viewed by the Herald Sun appears to show Bootsma pictured in the bath from the waist down - “Join me’’ he says.

In another: “Sounds good. Send dirty snaps.’’

The 23-year-old woman, who asked not to be named, admitted she was an obsessed Blues supporter who started following Carlton players on Instagram but was surprised when Bootsma sent her a friend request on Facebook.

She said the pair met in person at an open training day last year and, while Bootsma seemed embarrassed, he started sending her Kik messages the next day.

“At the start he was sweet and trying to woo me but I’m not stupid,” she said.

“I caught on pretty quickly what he was about.’’

The aspiring makeup artist said the pair’s communication started in August but broke down by November when Bootsma’s girlfriend became aware of the online chat.

Carlton was forced to dump the young player after the mother of another girl - a teenager - provided the club with photos the defender had been sending.

Adults who send sexually explicit messages to anyone aged 16 or under can face criminal charges.

Cyber safety expert Susan McLean said it was time AFL clubs took a tougher stance.

She said Kik messaging had become the number one app for sex predators worldwide.

Bootsma did not respond to inquiries from the Herald Sun.

It's bad enough when that * knuckle Titus O'Rielly continually trolls Carlton on Twitter at every opportunity, then the Herald Sun publishes his troll letter under the guise of "footy satire" yesterday and now a BF Mod re-posts said troll letter on the SC forum of all places. It wasn't funny the first time I read it and it's even less funny today.

Bay13 forum is on the site for a reason, Jiska. Should save the trolling for over there.

Some people have a really weird definition of trolling.
