That "prestigious distinction" will be left to Dangerfield after he signs with the Cats - while the rest of our boys are back in the rooms preparing for the 2nd half, Dangerfield will run in the gf sprint just to keep his muscles warm (and to show off :D)

Such is Richmond's terrible football development department that they thought they were on a winner with Matt White after they saw how fast he could run. They entered him in the GF sprint as some kind of attempt to seek validation for what they saw as fait accompli. Yes, could run, but the Punt Rd. morons forgot that they actually drafted him to play football.

Enter Ken Hinkley. At Port, he was encouraged to run also, except for one difference: Ken had this novel idea that if you run and carry the ball at the same time, before having a ping at the big sticks, you'll perhaps make a footballer. The rest, they say, is history.
