He was almost ready to go then he redid it from memory. Is it just my imagine, or has Wheels' calf been 2 weeks for the past 6 weeks?
As BRM said. Pushed it a bit too hard to get up for Freo and re injured it. Conditioning staff decided to give him a more solid block of rest to get it right.
He'll definitely get a run in the NEAFL first. No question on it. If nothing else than to just ease his calf back into competitive play.
NEAFL will certainly get a boost this week!

While Karmichael Hunt continues to be monitored daily after sustaining concussion playing in the reserves on Saturday, there are positive signs he will return of him getting back into the AFL side.
“He has got through the stages he needs to but it’s still a day-by-day process with him,” Ashcroft said.
The news is also bright on midfield dynamo Bennell (calf), who may resume earlier than first thought.
“He’s close but I don’t think right for this weekend,” Ashcroft said.
Seb Tape (hamstring), Gorringe (achilles), Jesse Lonergan (hand) and Sexton (calf) will have to get through training to be considered for the NEAFL side playing Sydney at the SCG.
Gold Coast star Harley Bennell is a chance to return to football via the NEAFL this weekend, but will need to complete Wednesday’s main training session before taking to the playing field, according to high performance manager Stephen Schwerdt.
A troublesome calf injury has conspired against the exciting playmaker getting on the paddock for the first five rounds, but after an extensive rehabilitation program, the West Australian appears ready to make his comeback through the second-tier competition.
“Harley has been out of action for a while with his calf, and we have been a bit conservative with him given he has had some soft tissue injuries in the past 18 months,” Schwerdt said.
“But all things considered, if he gets through training we are confident he will be available to play this weekend.”
Playing my 20 mth old is still a better idea then playing Luke RussellHe hasn't played any football in nearly 7 weeks. I'm not sure that'd be the best idea.
