Is there a full list anywhere of delisted free agents available? Couple from Essendon do interest me, Dell Olio and Hardingham. Also a couple of the Geelong players delisted, even possibly Kane Lucas.

I know list spots are at a premium, but if we can do as we said and delist Evans a year early and pay out his contract then I think we should be committed to upgrading our list anyway that we can and would be neglecting our duty to not at least have a look at what is on offer.

If that means we get a couple of these guys to train with us at the start of pre-season, to have a look before Delisted Free Agency concludes on December 1, I think it is worth a crack.
Should be one on the D and T board. If not, the AFL site will publish one on November 1st.

So there might be a list somewhere, but I'm not very good at navigating Bigfooty so this is the list I have come up with based on AFL website (those marked as delisted - some of these may have retired or committing to returning as a rookie already). Any interest here:

Clarke and Mooney have gone back to Ireland I think, and I believe Ben Ross has pulled the pin as well. I think Schneider is going around for another year at St Kilda, although that may be as a rookie.

A few there might be worth rookie listing. Still curious to see who else a few other clubs get rid of (GWS).

He was decent for a while a few years ago

Edit- I think

He could be like when opposition supporters come here asking about blease
His first couple of years were solid from what I remember. Dropped off the face of the Earth the last couple of years though. Didn't realise he was still on a list.

Pretty much imo

He's just an average footballer

Difference with blease is maybe he wants it more (maybe / maybe not?)

Blease only decided to gather endurance after being delisted o_O

Norf just delisted around eight players including Nahas and Anthony
Not keen on Nahas, he just can't beef up. but Anthony would be alight i reckon, decent player. Although he has had a bad run of injuries, but still wouldn't be a bad pickup, could really add a bit to our midfield for a couple or a few years

Just when you said that... http://m.melbournefc.com.au/news/2014-10-31/tapscott-delisted-by-demons Tapscott has indeed been delisted. Wonder why it took so long? I would have thought re-drafting him as a rookie is a good way to go if possible.

I agree with re-drafting him. Wouldn't be training with that group earlier this week if it wasn't a possibility.

I do enjoy how the official website can't fact check. Saying we delisted another 1st round pick. He wasn't a 1st rounder he was pick 18, first pick of the second round in the '09 draft.

Haha CJ, never imagined you chanting the 'rerookie' line :p

Vale Tapscott. Gone too soon.
Mainly the fact that they waited so long to flick him... That suggests to me that they aren't quite done with him yet, which is fine by me as I have always rated him highly (despite lack of output).

I suspect they took their time with Tapscott because they were trying to negotiate a payout for Evans or McKenzie.

They have it every chance, but in the end Tappy was a goner because he was the one left out of contract.

I think that's the problem... He only gets seen a few times per game, a few times per year.
I've been fixated on small forward types up until we landed Garlett. If we hadn't got him I would have taken Nahas. Reckon he has a little bit to offer around packs.
