Based on the result of this dismal NEAFL year - your pointed reply below is again just an excuse fest - The overwhelming fact here in all of this is - You did not win 1 single game in 2014, remember - No improvement - No Idea.
Lets hope that Rocket Eade has among other things he brings to the club with his wealth of experience, a reserve side priority attitude and that he like all other good coaches, drives the club from the bottom up, unlike the ordinary attitude seen last year - This will ensure that the Sun's NEAFL side will be putting the pressure on the senior list each week, for all senior selected players to play well at the top level while at the same time finally embracing the 2nd tier AFL competition, which again I point out was set up for them and their 3 other North Eastern AFL cousins.

No need for excuses billy. I've read your comments and you seem to have left out or overlooked very important facts.
Fact 1. When we joined the AFL we had a list of 46+ and rookies. These were young players but highly rated young players. They filled the majority of the NEAFL team sheet each week and we were competitive without requiring a number of lesser talented filler players. Could have won the G/F in a canter clearly the best NEAFL side that Year, but decided a trip away was more important so put the cue in the rack and partied. Football Club or Social Club?? Culture comes from experience - This along with the TAC Cup year is the only Finals experience that the club has had to date!!!!!!!!!
Fact 2. Our list numbers have been cut back to 39 today. This includes Bock and Brown who for very different reasons, have not been available. Add Brennan to this who was a NEAFL regular. That's 7 less on the team sheet bill. Like all other AFL clubs who compete in 2nd Tier Competitions around the Country they still fielded 22 players each game.
Fact 3. We have also suffered long term injuries to a number of players. This leaves a small core of boys who are still learning the game (in our 4th season only) to take up the slack and lead the top up filler players. Even our most promising rookie (Boston) has been injured all year. AFL Reserve sides are at their strongest usually at the start of the season???????? Remember again you did not win one game.
Fact 4. GWS have a list of 46 + rookies this season. They are competitive like we WERE when we had 46. Eventually beaten by a side of part timers but played out the season to win the flag until half time of the Preliminary Final - My hat goes off to them as they certainly embraced the competition for what it was set up for.
Fact 5. Sydney are clearly the best team in the AFL and have players like Mitchell, O'Keefe, Derrickz who have been languishing in the NEAFL. They have great depth. Depth that has been built over 30 years in Sydney! Again eventually beaten by a side of part timers but played out the season to win the flag, also by losing this game to eventual winners Aspley their attitude of loss by all of the players and the support staff was one of real disappointment, this especially shown by their Coach Jarryd Crouch. They to embraced the competition for what it was set up for and with this their Senior side fell at the last hurdle.
Fact 6. With added experience to the players we have, replacements for Brown / Bock etc, we will again be more than competitive. Maybe when this occurs we'll be allowed to comment on OUR team in a comp that will still be struggling? Let us know. Let us all hope so, we the Footy World would love for the big turn around in the Sun's NEAFL side.
Ken Hinkley, Shaun Hart or for that matter Ross Lyon would struggle with the list that Fraser has been presented with. Are you for real - There are Coaches and then there are of course Coaches - Unfortunately Frazer was given a task last year, where he was punching well above his weight division and well outside what his limited coaching experience could handle IMO, with may I add, very little support from most others around the club including the supporters, who should have done and demanded better.
