Whats happening down in this division this year ?

Looks like 5 sides

Bribie
Glasshouse
Gympie
Maroochydore
Pomona

Also some cross conference games thrown in ? Not sure what thats all about

looking at the Ladder Gympie has surprised with 2 wins, while Bribie and Glasshouse seam to be under done. I would think as with most other years Pomona would be the side to beat
. Looks like the only side in the comp this year which isnt their only senior side of the club is Maroochydore who have a 1st and 2nds in 2014 QFA (North) comp . Will be interesting to see if that helps or hinders the side

Gympie have a few of their U16's playing who are good players - no doubt helping. Plus a good U18 boy, Jack Clouston is having a kick there too. No doubt improves their depth of player.

Bribie Island 12.8-80
Glasshouse Hinterland 9.6-60

Maroochydore 3.7-25
Pomona 6.11-47

Gympie Bye

So from the results to date Glasshouse continues to struggle, which is a surprise as they still have some quality players running around in their side. Namely the Thompson brothers. Also could mention players who would normally put in a showing for them as in Walker and Procter.

Pomona came away with the win against the roos as expected but the score doesnt show they dominated. Which possibly could be a surprise. Have Pomona lost their touch or are the Roos going to step it up this year

Word is Logger (Gympie Coach) was a hand to watch the contest which says the Gympie side is serious this year
With Pomona vs Gympie in the next round things should be interesting. The week after its Gympie Vs Roos so the next few weeks will show where sides are heading for the year.

The Easter weekend off for all sides and then Glasshouse have a bye so wont play for 3 weeks. Can they come back a changed side ?

Also some cross conference games thrown in ? Not sure what thats all about

The cross-conference games are with the 4 teams in the Wide Bay League that Gympie and Pomona played in about 8 years ago, there are 2 games where this is happening. If they avoid the Hervey Bay Bombers it's a gift 8 points, if they draw the Bombers they may have to work a little harder.

So the games on the weekend show 2 one sided games

Pomona 15.10-100
Gympie 5.4-34

Maroochydore 15.12-102
Bribie Island 6.6-42

Both games blew out more than I expected but it wasn't a surprise both those sides won.

This weekend with have a Friday Night Game with Bribie and Glasshouse slogging it out. Last time Bribie took it out by 20 points. If Glasshouse want to put a showing in this year they would want to take this one out.

Gympie will battle Maroochydore on Saturday with both sides playing each other for the 1st time this year. Gympie will come out with something to prove after the loss to Pomona while Maroochdore will want to remember Gympie beat Bribie in Rd1 by 63 points and not to get complacent

Why don't Bribie put themselves back in the Central comp where they used to be?

Higher standard, and from what I hear - the Bribie away game was a favourite for most clubs!
