Menz said similar throughout the year & although he stayed, I still think it means Shiel is more likely to leave than stay.

Big Carlton midfielders:
Cripps - 195cm
Gibbs - 188cm
Judd - 189cm
Holman - 187cm
Bell - 187cm
Whiley - 188cm
Carrazzo - 187cm

Flankers who will play midfield:
Menzel - 187cm
Everitt - 194cm

Compliment this with some speedy types in Murphy, Buckley, Simpson, Docherty, Yarran, Curnow, Thomas etc this is a formidable mix. Is it just our club with such big midfielders and/or where do we rate?

No it's certainly not just our club. There has been a clear movement towards big-bodied midfielders over the past few years and it looks like we're finally beginning to move in that direction also.

The best midfields in the game now - Hawthorn, Fremantle & Sydney - have some serious size to them and that certainly helps them maintain a gap over the chasing pack.

Langford as a tall outside midfielder if he slid?

One of the youngest and skinniest of the "top 20" but if he could build up the endurance to play on a wing, he'd be deadly.

Imagine both him and Menzel in a couple of years time both rotating through the midfield causing havoc.
