Collingwood would ultimately be compensated with pick five, Crisp and Greenwood for Beams, who asked the club to trade him back to Queensland at the end of the season. A later pick, in the fourth round, will probably be sent back to the Lions.
Carlton hard nut Mitch Robinson appears most likely to end up in Brisbane with the Lions as a delisted free agent.
The Lions are understood to be keenest on the delisted Blues midfielder with at least one other club believed to have some interest. The Lions are yet to make a contract offer for Robinson who was blindsided by his delisting by Carlton last month.
Like many delisted players, or those expected to be delisted, there was little interest in Robinson during the trade period with clubs believing that if they wanted the player they could secure him as a delisted free agents without needing to trade.
