Well the formats for 2015 are a massive fail. Instead of 2 x 100km Saturday races in the Sprint format, it's now 2 x 60km events. Less tyres to use, particularly soft tyres. Warburton is making the Channel 10 debacle that he headed look amateur in comparison to this!

They're decreasing the race length in proportion to the decrease in viewers they'll be getting next year with the stupid Foxtel deal.

60 kms ?? Like the old Peter Jackson Dash of the early v8 era. This deal with foxtel could mark the beginning of the end for Touring Cars in the country.

I just hope someone reminds him to wear a balaclava. Most drivers in Nascar don't seem to wear a separate garment. (I know Kyle Busch and Danica wear them but many others don't)

Its really strange they would go this way. When they did an audience poll in V8 Superstars years ago during the 2004/2005 season where you had 3 races * 100kms, 2 *150km races, or 1 * 300km race, they asked which everyone preferred. A majority said the 1 race 300km format on a Sunday.

Ambrose 1.4 seconds off the pace, not too bad really. 8 years away and coming back on a tight street track, not a wide open permanent road course. Kept it off the walls which could be hard to do with the weather coming.
 
Going by the pattern of the last 7 days here , storms should hit around 3pm onwards.
Not as hot or humid here today as it was all week so i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.

Has been coming in over the mountains all week and as soon as it's over the basin , s**t gets real
