Tend to agree Matt. Serena was being honest. The truth is she is the best player in the world and to lose to someone like Cornet would mean she would have had an off day.
The problem we have is nearly all press conferences are boring because players give the stock standard answer that wont upset anyone.
The thing with Serena though is even if she was out played she wont admit it or give the opponent any credit. Its always I played bad.

Great win for Barty, beat Lesia Tsurenko 6-0 6-2 in the final round of qualifying for Acapulco.
Got Wozniak in the first round. Tough one.
Barty lost in 3. She had a break in the first set which she couldn't capitalise on.
She didn't just have a break. She lead 5-1 in the first set.

She lost all of her confidence after losing that 3-1 game - especially when she had points for a 4-1 lead. Was the biggest choke I've seen from her in a long time.
