4 months out with a stress fracture in his back, will miss the t20 wc.
NSW v WA in Lincoln (outskirts of Christchurch) looks a good shield match.

Lincoln is where the Agricultural University is in New Zealand (and its dodgy !).. So if you ever go to watch a game there....don't wear anything woollen

Starc, Hazlewood, Siddle, Pattinson, Coulter-Nile, Bird, Behrendorff, Faulkner, Sandhu, Mennie, Richardson....

Australias fast bowler future is being held together by sports tape at the moment, need something to go right or a new kid to hit the scene.

In essence Mitch Marsh has replaced Watson. On current form who would yah rather in the line up? All hate aside who would yah? :stern look

And on the Marsh brothers if there was a Marsh brother who was a Fat 4 foot nothing type who gasped for air whilst walking to the letter box, the Australian Selectors would still try find a way to get him into the Aussie Line Up. :stern look
Pity my name's not Marsh then...

Usman Khawaja and Adam Zampa will play in Saturday's second Chappell-Hadlee Trophy ODI in Wellington as Australia seeks a series-levelling victory.

Khawaja is to replace Shaun Marsh, who was selected ahead of Khawaja for the first match after regular limited-overs opener Aaron Finch was injured during the KFC T20 INTL series against India.

Zampa will make his international debut and become Australia's 212th one-day player following a successful summer with the Melbourne Stars in the KFC Big Bash League and Matador Cup with the West End Redbacks.

You might be describing that Qld bloke who bats OK, bowls OK, fields OK, captains OK. He's not a Marsh, but Rod's been to Qld a few times so who knows?

11 months ago Australia won a World Cup with Clarke, Watson, Haddin, Johnson, Finch, Starc and Faulkner in the team. Today none played so it was a fair effort to win that (NZ only had Taylor, Vettori and Southee out from the final). Having said that, I still worry about the batting in a Test series over there.

Our best ODI team should really be:

Warner
Finch
Khawaja
Smith
Paine
Marsh
Maxwell
Faulkner
Pattinson
Starc
Cummins

We are still playing some handy cricket despite missing half our best team.

Bailey & Wade have to go.

Not bad but I'd like to see a specialist spinner somewhere. Not sure who that would be though.

Wade is an ordinary keeper whose batting is overrated.

Paine is a much better keeper and is a very good batsmen. He has technique and would be the perfect foil for all the hitters around him.
If people want Wade, we may as well have Haddin.
I'd go Handscomb, Whiteman, Carters or Nevill and none of the tas, sa or qld keepers.

That is seriously what you're using? The effing Indian T20 league? THAT?
Watson getting 2 mil will piss some people off big time.

Looks like you have an issue with it.

It's hilarious, people are so blinded by their hate for him they can't bring themselves to give him kudos for a decent T20 season. Not that I'd expect it from you anyway with your incessant whining about how T20 is da devil.

Agree Wade. 60 matches 53 innings average 25.00 i'm sure Australia has a better keeper/batsman. I don't think he'll be in the odi team for long. 20/20 team maybe.

Paine.

Nuff said.
