2015-16 Off Season Applications Thread

The following things need to be applied for:
1) 50% discount on salary for delistment of a contracted player who has retired due to injury.
2) 0% discount on salary for delistment of a contracted player who has walked away from the game when he is likely to have been offered another contract, or has done something stupid off-field to get himself delisted or long-term suspended.
3) Classification of a player who doesn't automatically qualify as a GST (goalkicker/stopper/tapper) player. These players must have shown they can do one of those things consistently at AFL level. You can do this for both players on your own list and on other teams' lists.

Your case for any of these needs to be strong, if I'm in any doubt the answer will be no.

Apply for James Gwilt to be a stopper.
Last six games of his season he played on Patton, Stringer, Schulz, B. Brown, Dawes and Bruce. Half of these guys are already designated goalkickers and the others will also surely be once they are applied for by their coaches.

Apply for Justin Westhoff to be a goalkicker.
Tall who plays in the forward line. Has consistently kicked over a goal a game throughout his career. Played on stoppers such as Hurley, Taylor, T. McDonald, Chaplin throughout his most recent season.

Apply for Lachie Hansen to be a stopper.
Tall in defence that largely plays on the resting ruckman.

Apply to have Nick Haynes listed as a stopper, listed at 192cm, 88kg, consistently plays CHB for GWS when Davis is not playing (which is almost all of the time)
Apply to have Sam Lloyd & Shane Edwards listed as goalkickers, Lloyd is the epitome of small forward opportunist, this year kicked 13 goals in 10 games with bags of 3 against Carlton, Gold Coast & Collingwood.
Edwards whilst only 180 odd cm plays tall and small and consistently named as Richmond's CHF

I am going to apply for Jake Batchelor to be a stopper. He only averaged 12 disposals a game because his main role is to negate his opponent. Played on Waite in the elimination final as well. Pretty much takes the 3rd tall every week.

Don't know who has him but brad Sheppard should definitely be a stopper, play on reiwoldt, Reid, White, gunston and Jenkins.

I'm not exactly sure of the rules around this GST, but if I'm able to apply for Sam Day to be a stopper in addition to my previous application for him to be a goalkicker (ie goalkicker/stopper) then I would like to do this please. As mentioned previously Day plays as a swingman for the Suns. When down back he usually plays on the opposition's resting ruckman or 2nd/3rd key forward.

I understand that there is a requirement to have at least 3 designated goalkickers, at least 3 designated stoppers, and at least 2 designated tappers with a maximum of 11 GST players on your team list. But is there a defined requirement on how many of these we will need to name every week?

I ask because it will help determine which players I will apply for a GST role.

28 is the age.

Up to 4 players on this list can be classified as veterans. These players must be turning 28 or older during the year of that season, and have completed 5 years on the list

Eligible only. They don't have to nominate.

Clubs with eligible father-son players (NB: eligible does not necessarily mean they chose to go to that club in reality)

If accepted it would be 0%. You need to make the case though and link an article or something that proves it.

Those who walk away due to lack of motivation or similar will have their contract terminated immediately with no further payment.
