Why do you say that?
Only because it's not exactly something that many Port fans would have designed, there seems to be a dichotomy within the Port fan group of Prison Bars and non-Prison Bars. Not many of them want to combine the PBs with any other designs.

I like the design but not for us. I'd love to see it in some different colour combos

How about magneta and sky blue
This is about the limit of what Port people would accept in regards to changing the bars...so it's probably not going to happen.
ANd for some, not even that clash
I just don't get the endless modification of the bars when we have a ******* awesome jumper already which actually naturally fits the three colours.

I think if we had the pure PBs for a home guernsey, people would accept modfied colours for the clash. We just don't want a bastardised version to be the only one we use

I just hate the obsession of trying to bring in a shitty faux heritage wharf pylon design.
Spot on, if we had an untouched version as our home jumper slight modifications for clash or even away would be acceptable. However getting permission for the original as a home top would be almost impossible...but I can never bring my self to completely rule out the possibility.
I'm past the point of wanting it, that many jumper changes in such a short period time would be silly IMO.

Maybe when we first entered the league but not now. Not sure why the bar needs to be bent?
If we were ever going to be allowed a design that close to the original why wouldn't they just let us go the original?
Colours. The league would want Port to be able to differentiate themselves from Collingwood. And the v looks better to me with the teal than just a hoop/teal fill above the prison bars.
That jumper was made for one reason...to piss off Port.

I reckon GC should recolour their clash and use it as their home jumper. Their clash is so much nicer to look at as it is, their current home in comparison?.. Its a McDonalds fries packet..

I see your point, but it would be no more similar than Collingwood and North. And there doesn't seem to be much confusion with those teams.
