Theres a large number of clubs releasing reports later than usual this year, as of earlier in the week they still arent available for Fremantle, Indian Pacific (West coast), GCFC, Western Sydney, North Melbourne, Adelaide and Port Adelaide.

We release our report a week or so before the AGM, our AGM is usually late March, our AGM is on the 29th of March this year so we should see ours mid March. There shouldn't be anything out of the ordinary from our report, we made a modest surplus and paid down debt some more.

Freo record profit
The club today posted a $763,775 net profit for the 12 months to October 31.
It is the 13th successive year the Dockers have achieved an operating profit and it was substantially better than the $215,729 result for 2014.
Dockers president Steve Harris confirmed the club had contributed $6.01 million to the WA Football Commission

Fremantle also received $1.058 million in development funding for their new training facility and headquarters in Cockburn, with most of the money coming from the AFL. The club is due to move there early next year.

What, the AFL putting even more money into WA?

More evidence of money going into WA, and you still produce none of the money going out...That make it even tougher to continue with your theory about how the AFL is sucking money out of WA to pay for Vic clubs...

Does that $6 million include what the WAFC make from Subi, or is it on top? With the way the govt has not giventhe WAFC the keys to Burswood, it would be interesting to know how they'll get this cash going forward?

fair go, I highlighted it for good reason:

Equalisation dollars?

royalties & rent - remember the WAFC incur costs at Subi, what the clubs pay is gross rent.

So if Subi costs $5M (no idea of the exact figure but even basic maintenance and costs wouldn't be insignificant), then by removing that cost, WAFC would 'only' need $8.5M in income to achieve the same benefits they do currently.

so how much money is the AFL putting in to the Cockburn:drunk: facility? if only $1.058 million that isnt a large overall amount. pretty much all clubs will multi million dollar grants from the AFL when building new facilities

Isn't that the million bucks that was the bare minimum given to all teams for facility development?

Perhaps so, but it's still more money clearly going INTO WA, which rather upsets the conspiracy theory about how the AFL is taking money hand over fist OUT OF WA (which nobody can never actually point to) to prop up Vic clubs.

If all clubs get it (sometimes they got significantly more), then it's hardly proving your point. It's like pointing to the annual distribution as an example of that too.

Except nobody can point to the massive sums supposedly going OUT of WA to 'prop up Vic clubs'.

There is clearly money going INTO WA, but bugger all going out, but the WA chip on the shoulder ignores such details to endlessly repeat their crap.

Bugger all? There would have been $20 million plus flowing to the AFL just from the last finals series.

and where is that documented?

The AFL recieves all ticket money from the finals series regardless of state and venue. the AFL doesnt get the catering or other services, and still pays for the use of the ground.

Given the limited capacity at Subiaco and despite the fact there were 4 finals played there, theres no way the figure was 20 million (This article indicates the AFL expected to make 20 million on the ENTIRE finals series last year, the Grand Final worth about 9 million. The Subiaco final was the second lowest attended final, beaten for attendance by every game except the first Sydney final, probably making the game only worth 1 or 2 million at most.
