It’s that time of year!!!
Yes that’s right, the time of year where we are linked with anyone and everyone in the AFL and end up with, well usually very little.
This year we are destined for big things. Adam Treloar is a red hot favourite to land at the Holden Centre whilst Aaron Young and Andrew Moore have also recently been linked to us. Kruezer made a brief appearance with talk of Witts moving on although things have gone quiet on that front.
James Aish is a quality youngster reportedly looking to join the Magpie Army should a suitable deal be brokered but will Brisbane provide an avenue for him to Collingwood should he opt out.
The high flying Jeremy Howe is looking for more cash and has been mentioned around the board.
There are plenty of players linked to us again, but this year we find ourselves in a somewhat unique position where a number of our highly touted juniors may be looking for opportunity elsewhere. Names like Freeman, Kennedy, Seedsman and Oxley have been floated around to exit the club come this trade period.
Now is your opportunity to shine. You have one shot.
We have a number of posters that pride themselves on playing the Hine game and getting in early to broker the deal well before trade period starts. This is your opportunity for board bragging rights and potentially have a shiny new badge next to your username.
The idea is that each poster has up until 10am Monday 12th October to lodge their trade predictions in this thread. Closest to the pin wins and all entries will be judged and awarded only by the moderators of this board and yes it seems only fair that mods can enter.
Only trades into and out of Collingwood FC will be eligible with 3rd party deals to be included.
Each correct trade will score 5 points. Any correct 3rd party deal will attract an additional 10pts should the prediction be correct on all fronts (3rd party trades require a min 3 club involvement). An incorrect trade will result in a deduction of 2pts. The highest aggregate at the completion of the trade period takes home a shiny new badge, maybe!
Once the trade period begins, all entries are closed with a result soon after completion of the trade period Thursday 22nd October at 2pm.
Free Agency/Restricted Free Agency will not be included.
There is no minimum or maximum number of trades you can predict but keep it sensible.
It’s a bit of fun and a good opportunity to see who really knows there stuff when it comes to building our list.
