WOW! South gone! No dream match up against Victory or City.

The Hume City vs Brisbane Strikers match was a ripper as well. 2-2 at full time, then 3-2 Brisbane, 3-3 at ET half time, then 4-3 Hume.

The FFA Cup really does deliver. I love it.

yeah seemed like a beauty! I'm really regretting not going it's not far from where I live, I was deciding either go watch Hume cold or watch South at home warm, chose the latter unfortunately.

The Hume game would have been amazing to attend, so many twists and turns. Metrostars knocking off top of table blacktown away is a big upset.

Gutted for my south melbourne, so much possession, so many corners and so many chances, a brain fade by the keeper roganovic who has been incredible this year set the tone for palm beach to park the bus, they are penalty shoutout specialists so they were always gonna be likely to win it from the spot, football punishes you when you don't take your chances, we can have no complaints as gut wrenching as it is, overall thought we played well and a few of our players really stood out ( jawadi, Norton and epifano, barker daish was ok) now we have to back up for a cup final on Sunday which will be hard, credit to the 500 supporters that went up on a midweek, don't even think victory use to take that many there.

Went to the Hume match as my uncle is a coach there and you're not gonna get much more entertainment for $15. Funny seeing the Brisbane wags there in skirts and dresses shivering their heads off with a nice crosswind. Brisbane enjoyed a couple of good set shots. Hume were really unlucky just for it to get to extra time, they controlled the game for the most part.

****ing lol at South Melbourne.

Tough loss but losing on penalties away from home is nothing to be ashamed of, played a good brand of football as well compared to the usual npl dross of hoof and chase, certain players will no doubt get looked at by A league clubs, cup ties are always random and the better team doesn't always win, the tv exposure was probably more important for the club anyway.

Why the hatred for South?
They were the scum of the NSL.
I do miss the good old days of the NSL though, was great going on roadtrips, the Croats were far more intimadating especially at Sunshine but Adelaide City and South had a real hatred of each other. I still go and support City as often as possible but it isnt the same, I have a casual interest with AU but I can always dream that City will return to the big stage
