Only 3 Sunday games for the season and 11 Thursday/Friday/Saturday night primetime games.

The club's efforts to make us a more profitable, powerful club that attracts funds and viewership is certainly paying off. Only a few years ago, we were completely without Friday night games and were a staple of Sunday afternoon viewing. Things have changed very noticeably.

Pretty tough fixture all in all IMO, but for the first time since the GF, I'm genuinely excited about the season after seeing some of the primetime opportunities we're getting against formidable opposition.

I wish we could play all the best sides at the SCG for the atmosphere alone, let alone our advantage but whatever.

Worried about our run home. Collingwood won't be a massive threat. GWS and St Kilda, meh.
Gold Coast could test us, still prefer a top 4 team.
2012 run home was the best.

Come on, be honest, did you really whip this very impressive document together in the mere eight minutes since the fixture announcement arrived in our inboxes?

I dont mind this draw, would have preferred a few more hard games in last 4 weeks.... still if we are edge of top 4 I can see me retracting that statement.

2 x WA seems the only lowlight.

2 x cats and 2 x hawks 2 x port will put us in good stead from playing them in finals, freo/north/dons only once. play against a two expansion sides as our middle/bottom ranked double match ups which is a bit rough as they both have the greatest room for growth.

As a Melbourne based member, it is now getting to a point where it is more financially viable to buy a non-entry supporter membership and buy tickets at the gate. The Geelong game we have to pay a premium reserved to gain access and the Hawthorn game will likely require a reserved seat to gain access. Effectively making the membership useful for 3 matches. So disappointing.

ps at least in the past they seemed to make a token effort to play pre-season games down here. Now we dont even get that. just pathetic.
