2015 Fixture

Hey guys, sorry to interrupt all of your Carlton bashing but I come in peace!

I've booked flights and accommodation for this game, but so far the tickets are only available from your club website...is this the only way to purchase tickets?

MEB want to find out as well as we are taking the plunge and going there to watch the match and have a week extra, for a break in NZ. We are so looking forward to it, especially with the earlier game time, which should make the conditions better, as it has been slippery later on in the day with our previous matches there.

Uh Oh, looks like the Essendon team bus broke down on the way back from Gippsland...

Hirdy and Harvey are trying to fix it...

Well, I suppose we do play GWS and Melbourne twice, but we also go to the Gold Coast, Adelaide (twice), Perth (twice) and Tasmania... And finish with a bang with Geelong and Sydney (H) and finally WCE in Perth...

Thanks AFL

I do t mind the fixture at all, get heaps is Saturday games in the front half of the year when we should be more competitive
Yeh i think we've done really well.
Play all the top teams at etihad bar Port Adelaide.
Dont play any of the top 6 twice.
only 2 MCG games but thats more than Port & Doggies.
Lots of Sunday games but we finished bottom so have to expect it.

It was expected but six Sunday games in a row is a bit ridiculous IMO.

6 Sunday games in a row. How stupid and s**t.

The idiot that decided on 4.40pm games on Sundays needs to be taken outside and tortured with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch.

WTF

Think its what we deserve. Nice of them to put the hard games at the end for everyone involved. Big teams get a rest and we get an excuse 'oh the kids are tired long season etc.' Would like more Saturday arvo games and less Sunday twilight games but I guess I can't complain ALL that much.

Going to be a deadset miserable finish if we don' t win the easier early games though.

Playing Melbourne, GWS, Footscray, Essendon, & West Coast twice - well we couldn't ask for much more than that. It should allow us to be competitive in more games and half a chance in some too, especially against Dees, Giants, & Dogs (Boyd is at least another year or 2 away from being a dominating forward IMO). Also with the Bombers only fielding a reserves team by then we might be a chance against them. And you never know with the Eagles over here - we might be lucky.

I remember seeing last year's fixture and my immediate thought was we got ripped off in a major way and we are going to have a terrible year. Not so for next year, (although I think we are going to have a terrible year but not as bad as 2014).

As joop said - we finished bottom so can't expect to get lots of prime times and days.

All good.
