Yeah it's all very well being aggressive but with the way Starc was bowling McCullum needed to be more defensive and give himself a chance to get in, swinging at balls like that was just asking for trouble.

It's probably ruined any chance of us getting off to a flyer, Williamson and Guptill will need to bat conservatively now and build a partnership.
