Seems surreal that Walker, Simmo & Carrots will be on the Veterans List next year, especially Walker & Simmo.

Big increase in listed veterans ahead of 2015 season

CARLTON
Andrew Carrazzo
Kade Simpson
Andrew Walker

All players who have completed 10 seasons with their club are eligible to be placed on the veterans list, and there is no age requirement for qualification.

Clubs are then able to pay a fixed amount per veteran – $118,380 in 2014 – outside the salary cap.

7th oldest list in the competition

But it is the Hawks, aiming for a three-peat in 2015, that have the perfect list profile for the future, let alone the coming season.

They are only the fifth-oldest side in the competition and also have the best collection of 21-24 year-olds according to Champion Data’s rankings system.

So clearly this is what Mick and Shane had in mind by adding eight 20-23 year olds to our squad this off-season.

Collingwood is like in the bottom 6 for age and they're less than a year younger than us on average - I think ranking the average age is a little misleading as the differences between us and teams 4 or 5 places younger is not much at all.
