No he is a much, much better prospect as he plays tall. Issue is his tank but he will improve that as he does more pre seasons, he missed his first with a major ankle then calf injuries. he has arrived back from NZ, reason for the delay of his re signing, our BnF is tomorrow, club still really, really confident he will stay, so sorry blues :)

Oh and to the poster stating we missed out on treloar and Bennell. yes we missed on Treloar, got our second target across in yarran and walked away from our third prospective pick in Bennell.

Peace and love brothers, peace and love.
OMG Richmond are amazing!!!

Just to build on some analysis I have done previously:

If say Geelong bid 28 (677 points) for Rice then we apply our 20% discount which leaves the value to be met at 542 points

Our next pick is 38 which is 465 points. This pick moves to the back of the draft

77 points remain. We deduct those from our next pick, 56 (194 points), which becomes pick 63 (117 points)

So we gain pick 28 (Rice) + Pick 63 for Pick 38 + Pick 56.

THEN

If we assume J.Silvagni is bid on at about 44 (362 points) then we pay Pick 63 (117 points) which moves to the back of the draft and still need 245 points as our next pick at 74 is worthless. We will have to pay this the following year, which would mean we lose our third round in 2016.

Alternatively if we end up with some picks in the 40's as steak knives we can just burn those.

Say as part of balancing a trade for Bell, Yarran or Henderson we get a third/fourth rounder.

Since ******* when ???

Pffft, pony up your first-rounder and then you can tell the world you got your second target, until then, Yarran is a contracted & required player.

mate im sure a win/win will be worked out.

Realistically, i believe we will offer 12, for Yarran and your pick 20. Its a solid compromise for both clubs, unless we have already committed our first

We will accept #12 and gracefully hand over Yarran, but you are goddam dreaming if you think we are going to throw in #20.

How about Yarran + 20 for 12 + 31.

Seems more reasonable then an 8 pick downgrade for your no.2 trade target

I'd be more worried if we do. We need to get games into the young players.

Sounds like Dennis will be a pawn in the player movement IN.

It'll be a numbers game of uncontracted players (White, Warnock, even Holman as others) that we have vs amount of players being traded in, ND picks and PSD pick/s required and any upgrades/rookies.

Pick 12 from Richmond forward straight to GWS for Tomlinson and Sumner.

Pick 23 from Brisbane forward straight to GWS for Plowman and Phillips.

Out... Yarran and Bell for Tomlinson, Sumner, Plowman and Phillips.

Henderson I'm less confident we'll get a good trade for.

Richmond are going to be harder to deal with, and all the commentary re: Yazz's worth, or lack of it.

Geelong will be fair, they rate Hendo highly. It'll only be relative to what they can offer on the Danger move. They've stated this, you can give what you've got. We really need Danger to move smoothly under compo.

thats the issue. I believe the workrate on both are poor. Neither likely to turn into genuine midfielders which is what you need these days

Yep, definitely don't need any forward or defenders - 22 mids will get the job done.

How the hell are you judging his work-rate - he's played 16 games in his first two seasons in a side that's making finals (just not winning them). Not every player dominates from day one.

One week till trades and Lennon is still uncontracted...
Hypothetically if we had to choose one of Aish or Lennon who would we want? (Not really expecting to get either but you never know)
Real good question. Don't know, happy with either.

Richmond are going to be piss easy to deal with because they have no negotiating power whatsoever in this one.

We have the product, they have the need, they pay our price or they can "sling their hook".

You can say sorry all you like, but apparently Lennon was to sign 2 weeks ago according to your board.

You say you got your second target... McKay this morning said we will only trade him if we win out. In other words, second rounder will not do it as much as you wish it does.

WalkeD away from your third prospective because he didn't bother rocking up to his medical as he was already set to join Freo. He played your sorry club.

So in summary, the following has been achieved a Tigerland so far:
- Treloar rejected them
- Bennell rejected them
- Lennon is on the verge of rejecting them
- Will only get Yarran if it benefits Carlton
