Did anyone actually watch the IR game?
Yeah I did

Ireland were awesome until our fitness took over. Nearly rolled them.

Betts is a gun at that game too.

Way to go Bulldogs  ....on the back of the Talia Affair .....now you after paying a 7 game player a $1M per year contract ......you come out in the press and criticize the lad

a) You don't discuss your players weaknesses in the press
b) didn't you know this b4 you decided to pay the lad a $M a year to potentially play VFL

Bulldogs forward Boyd 'needs to find his athletic side': Montgomery
Mitch Cleary November 23, 2015 9:20 PM

FORMER No.1 draft pick Tom Boyd needs to change his playing style if he’s to win a spot in the Western Bulldogs' senior line-up, senior assistant Brett Montgomery says.

"He needs to find his athletic side," Montgomery told Crocmedia.

"He came to us as a power forward, as a kid that didn’t move a lot. He was able to dominate one player, who was able to see a good share of entries come his way and not have to move up the ground too far.

"That’s just not how AFL’s played. He’ll need to adapt and he’s well aware of that."

Hope for Boyd's sake he becomes a reasonable player.

Not his fault the bullies offered an unproven rookie $1m pa.

Not a good look when your highest paid player is playing more vfl than Afl!

What are the odds on Boyd being traded within a few seasons...

Probably said in an attempt to motivate him - his weakness from what the above has said is his inability to move/work for it so that weakness is completely up to him as to whether he fixes it or not, not the opposition.

I love that passive verb that assistant coaches use: "The way the game is played."

They can never actually pinpoint who said the game is played that way, why it's played that way, or indeed why it has to be.

The herd says it, so it must be true!

I wouldn't be surprised if one day in the not-so-distant future, assistant coaching positions in the AFL are exposed as one of the biggest labour market scams on the face of the earth.

For every enterprising diamond like Phil Walsh who actually makes a senior coach look good, there are a 100 mental short people on an epic gravy train.
