Looks like Raines has injured his knee. Hope it's nothing major!

Andrew Raines’ pre-season preparations have taken a blow after scans revealed the AFL journeyman has damaged the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Gold Coast’s midfield recruit, who has been training strongly for the SUNS since his recruitment to the club via the rookie draft, was assisted from Wednesday’s session after going down during a combative training drill.
He was immediately assessed by club medical staff, with scans later confirming the full extent of Raines’ injury.
General Manager - Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft said it was an unfortunate start for Raines on the Gold Coast.
“Unfortunately the results of Andrew’s scans have confirmed he has damaged his PCL,” Ashcroft said.
“Our medical staff will determine the most appropriate course of action to treat the injury in the coming days.”
The 28-year-old tagger has notched 123 senior appearances, having played for Richmond and the Brisbane Lions in his 11 years in the AFL.
Nicholls did his PCL in round 7? Or 8? And only just resumed full running before Christmas. But that's when the PCL was completely torn. Seems like the timeline really varies.

Dan Gorringe finishes first in the time trial, ahead of @kolodjashnij28 and @joshglenn34. Hot work out there!
If its low grade he might be ok in 4 weeks.. If not could be 12
Still the boys will miss his leadership and commitment at training for the pre season
Just because you're tall doesn't mean you can't run fast. I'm not sure guys like Swallow and Prestia ran either.
Gorringe has always been an athletic freak. It's just this is his first pre-season where achilles and ankle problems haven't floored him. At the moment he's training himself into the round 1 side though.
Perhaps if all they did was 2km TT running, maybe. Otherwise it doesn't really work like that. Especially in the AFL environment, you are going to have endurance kings that come in and dominate. Happens at clubs everywhere where young kids (like Kade) can slip in and suddenly come top 3. They're just damn good natural runners.Fair call on Gorringe, what's you view on the other 80% of the squad that are in their 5th pre season? They shouldn't be beaten by 1st and 2nd year players
Gaz sets a PB on his time trial. Some other updates too.

Think only Port are doing the 3 ks ( and always have ) not sure why?Why is it that we only ever run 2 km time trials whereas other clubs always run 3 km trials? Are our guys not up to it? Is it too hot up here? Are our conditioning team behind the eight ball?
