2015 QFA North

7 teams is disappointing, Sandgate would've been a very good inclusion....even a top 4 means more teams make the finals than miss out... Restructure on the cards, combine both QFA North and South from the current "top 5" from each, then split the rest with QAFA (A) and prospective 2 team sides from QAFA (B) into QAFA (A) North and South as suggested for the past 12 months...

Getting close to the pre season comp! How are the bottom half teams of last year travelling can they close the gap?

Think it may be a case that 3 of the top 4 teams (Kedron the obvious exception) may have improved Pies so the gap is still going to be the same distance even if some of the bottom teams have improved. Noosa have loaded up, their recruiting is obvious and will be a very strong side, Mayne apparently has done well too pre season and already had a very good list, Maroochy have picked up Dzufer, an AA Country player in Matt Hearn, a premiership player from PBC and a few others and have lost no one from their best 6 in 2014 so they will be ok as well. Would like to think the other 2 SC teams will be pretty good, reckon Aspley will have improved a lot and will be definite final 4 contenders, really hoping Moreton Bay (Caboolture) have improved too just for the overall comp. Wasn't healthy their situation last year and I can't imagine a R Dickfos side being easy beats. Not sure who they have picked up though - you might know??

Mayne have recruited former vice captain of Bayswater AFC Sam Nevins from the Eastern football league in Victoria, sounds like a promising recruit.

was anyone at the caboolture game on the weekend? apparently they gave Redcliffe a touch up

Moreton Bay 15.15.105
Redcliffe 1.1.7

Jackson Dickfos ran amok, kicking four goals off a HBF rotating through the midfield.

16 new faces in the 26 man squad, most under 21. Still think we'll struggle against the mature bodies of Mayne and Noosa. But last year we beat what looked like a very similar Redcliffe team by 17 points, so hopefully this result is indicative of our improvement.
