That fanplanner is dodgy as. No way you'd get that team under the cap. However 6 premo mids looks pretty cool. I like the Ollie Wines selection @ M6 reckon he will have a super-premo 3rd year breakout.

Is having 3 non playing rookies for loopeholing too many?
D6 R4 mid/fwd. Wouldn't mind a loophole for every line.
Or would this slow down my cash flow too much when its upgrade time therefore take me longer to fully upgrade my side

I wouldn't start the season with any more than 1 loophole rookie. Especially while you have rookies & or players who aren't necessarily in their teams best 21 starting on the field in Def, Mids & Fwds. You need all your benchies playing, not only to make early $$$ but to cover for the likelihood of your starting rookies being green vested at some point.

1 loophole rookie @ R4 (preferably one who plays most of his games on Sundays) is suffice until you have upgraded your starting 22 with premo's.

No way that team will do any good without "super premo" M Murphy ;)

I LOL.

A classic example of why you shouldn't waste your time creating teams before SC opens in a few weeks. There is absolutely no way I hell that team will fit under the cap which means you've all but wasted your time. If FF is allowing teams like that to be created they should be ashamed of taking the community for a ride by trying to boost membership to sell advertising.

Bit harsh. They're just using last years starting magic number and giving pretty standard injury discounts. The rookies might be a little dodgy but I don't think it's as far off as you're suggesting.

EDIT: That's not to say that the MN won't be higher this year. With plenty of bargains to be had everywhere except for def, they may put the squeeze on a little.

I don't think it's harsh at all. They are purely guessing prices and I'd suggest, looking at some of the teams popping up in this here thread, that their "guesses" are off by a loooooong way, resulting in people absolutely wasting their time. May as well just look at the AFL club lists and create a team.

Yeah but like I said, their 'guess' is just last years MN. I'm not saying it won't be different, I just don't think they 'should be ashamed of taking the community for a ride' when all anyone can do at this stage is guess. Anyway, bookmark it and we'll see if that team fits under the cap when the game opens, I bet it's not far off. With a Looney/Kreuz combo, only having two 'super premos' in the mids and Swan and Chad being fairly cheap in that forward line, it's not all that outrageous.

Besides, if you're using the fanplanner and thinking that it's going to be 100% accurate, then you probably are wasting your time, but it's hardly their fault.

Looking at the numbers and averages, if they're wrong, they won't be too far off.

I.e. R Gray: '14 ave -> 111.0 x 5,400 (est. MN) = $599,400 ($600,200 on FP)

Spot on. This years starting MN was 5388, the current fanplanner MN is 5403. Hardly an outrageous guess.

DEF: N. Dal Santo*, G. Birchall, A. Walker, B. Waters, S. Biggs, T. Lamb (D. McKenzie, H. Wigg)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, J. Selwood, R. Griffen, I. Heeney, J. Anderson, B. Boekhorst, T. Dumont (N. Freeman, J. Laverde)
RUC: S. Jacobs, M. Kreuzer (M. Leuenberger, T. Nankervis)
FWD: B. Deledio, B. Goddard, L. Franklin, D. Martin, D. Swan, M. Clark (J. Hogan, J. Steele)

$39,600 left over.

Been playing around with this, starting off with 5 premos in the fwd, also been trying to keep to a $9.5-6 mil cap, just so when the actual prices come out the cost of the team doesn't inflate too much.

If he was delisted then he wouldn't be available for selection.

Edit: You may very well be right. His name doesn't appear on the list of players on footywire.com

Definitely been delisted, playing in the SANFL next year for Woodville West-Torrens.

Even better. Loophole guarantee swing, and for Capt. I certainly didn't pick him last year assuming he'd play.

First go at using Fanplanner. A 10-minute job took about 45 minutes thanks to the buggy FanFooty site but I got there in the end.
Rookies will obviously change between now and Rd1. Infact, probably most of the side will change. Especially that Backline, Anyway..

B: B. Smith, J. Newnes, D. Rampe, R. Henderson, B. Waters, S. Biggs (D. Moore, M. Scharenberg)
M: G. Ablett, N. Fyfe, J. Selwood, T. Greene, T. Mitchell, I. Heeney, T. Dumont, N. Freeman (J. Laverde, J. Jansen)
R: M. Kreuzer, M. Leuenberger (J. Griffin, F. Thurlow)
F: R. Gray, B. Deledio, L. Franklin, D. Swan, D. Smith, C. Petracca (S. Blease, M. Clark)
Cash left: $75k

Backline is seriously lacking. I actually think lack of options down back will result in more teams looking the same. Everyone will load up with similar forward lines & Kreuzer and Leuey (providing they get through pre-season) are too cheap to ignore. May come down to who can pick the best backline from the start because nailing down who will be the top 10 Defenders is up for debate, let alone finding cheapies that will perform.

Scharenberg aint going to play next year, not till late anyway, did his ACL last August. Get Nathan Krakouer in instead.
