Dylan Addison has retired and will take on the role of welfare manager
Brad Miller will be our new NEAFL coach
With Brett Hand moving from NEAFL coach to a senior development and welfare role

Just out of interest... what is the impact of GWS not having delisted / retired anyone yet this year?

Doesn't that potentially compromise this week? Will there be a delisted Giant that someone else is willing to take a punt on... and that needs to be calculated into the whole list management exercise.

There is a minimum they have to cut in order for the draft to take place but none named yet.

Big trade period in my opinion. Couple of years ago they traded Edwards and Aylett for pick 47 which shows they are willing to make packaged cheap deals. I think there are plenty of them on offer but it's about what they get in their major deals that will impact the fringe players deals.

Well Addison has already announced his retirement (see post above) and beyond that I'm pretty sure we're already under our maximum number of players allowed - we started with a bigger list and have to reduce each year, but we're ahead of schedule (and trying to find homes for most of those wanting to leave during the trade period) so I wouldn't have thought it affects things too much.

Didn't realise they were already under limit. Mostly answers the question.

Dangerfield Trade done

The Cats have given up young midfielder Dean Gore as well as picks No.9 and No.28 to snare the superstar midfielder.

The Cats gain Dangerfield and Adelaide's third-round draft pick, currently No.50.

Can't have any complaints, really. Redden was worth about 17 (although I think it's perhaps slightly overs), and Selwood was worth about that too.

Strong speculation that 17 will be used in the new points system by Brisbane for a couple of academy products.
