Gees, this tournament has snuck up quickly. The English team manager has the worst case of cauliflower ears I have ever seen.

We're in a tough pool.

Interesting that Japan has named a pretty much full strength team against South Africa given they play Scotland 4 days later. Thought they might have rested guys for that one. South Africa haven't played for a while and have picked a bit of a strange looking team so it'll be interesting to see how close Japan can get.

I'd love it for England to be knocked out in the group stage to complete the trifecta of failing to get past the group stage in World Cups in the past year and a bit.

I really want to see what Akihito Yamada can do at this level. He was here at the Force all season and we never played him once.

One match in and the TMO is already a talking point.

While it was the correct decision, when is it too late to refer to it, as the conversion was being lined up

Yeah, and why didn't they do the same for England's first try, which was a pretty clear truck and trailer.

The review to penalise the Fijian guy for entering the ruck with no arms was also ridiculous. You see that all the time, it happened right in front of the ref's face and he didn't even think to penalise it. Yet the TMO butts in to view it like a minute later.

Absolutely unbelievable. Is that the biggest upset in professional sport? Surely! $81 pre game!

Oh hindsight :D, can't even compare it to anything off the top of my head. Netherlands beating England at the T20 WC? Even then, more that can go wrong in a game of T20 then in a game of Rugby.

I think this is bigger, it would be like a WAFL reserves team beating a top 4 AFL team. Cannot believe it
