Yep his fitness will improve I expect that already. Krak was getting 12 touches in the first half of games, four in the second the question is how much can he improve. Kraks awesome kick accomplishes the exact thing one of impeys amazing runs, it breaks lines.

B: T. Jonas, A. Carlile, J. Trengove
HB: J. Pittard, J. Hombsch, H. Hartlett
C: B. Ebert, O. Wines, J. Polec
HF: M. White, J. Westhoff, C. Wingard
F: A. Monfries, C. Dixon, J. Schulz
R: P. Ryder, T. Boak, R. Gray
Int: M. Broadbent, B. Ah Chee, S. Gray, N. Krakouer
Emg: M. Lobbe, J. Impey, J. Toumpas

Can't even fit the likes of Neade, Clurey, O'Shea, Amon, Hoon and Young into the 25, let alone the 22.
Looks spot on to me

How do you guys think you'll fare next year?

This year I was hoping you'd improve enough from last year to deny Hawthorn the 3-peat (still gutted you didn't pip them in the 2014 prelim).

Your 22 looks pretty good from an outsider's perspective...
we are quietly very confident - but as there always are - we have a lot of ifs.
IF Polec is fit
IF Dixon plays more than 16 games
IF Ryder/Lobbe works
But we are happy with our team and our depth, just depends who we draft

Would have Krak in but until mid year or a long term injury he cant be used. Which is CRAZY!

Imagine the forward-line delivery we'd get if Polec, Toumpas and the Krak were all fit and proven in the best 22...

No Carlisle in the side, however dependant on the opposition he will be played (i.e. if we need that extra big defender), with Krak on the bench and worst performer out of the side. I liked how our defence played in the latter part of the year when Carlisle or Trengove were out, so would keep a similar style happening as best as possible.

Assuming everyone is fit and playing to their potential, my dynamic 22 for 2016:

B: Jack Hombsch ~ Alipate Carlile ~ Jasper Pittard

HB: Matthew Broadbent ~ Jackson Trengove ~ Thomas Jonas

C: Jared Polec ~ Travis Boak ~ Hamish Hartlett

HF: Matthew White ~ Charlie Dixon ~ Robbie Gray

F: Chad Wingard ~ Jay Schulz ~ Justin Westhoff

R: Patrick Ryder ~ Oliver Wines ~ Sam Gray

Int: Brad Ebert ~ Jarman Impey ~ Nathan Krakouer ~ Brendon Ah Chee

Emg: Matthew Lobbe ~ Angus Monfries ~ Jake Neade

B: Jonas ~ Carlile ~ Hombsch
HB: Broadbent ~ Trengove ~ Pittard
C: Hartlett ~ Wines ~ Polec
HF: White ~ Dixon ~ Neade
F: Monfries ~ Schulz ~ Wingard

R: Ryder ~ Boak ~ R.Gray

INT: Westhoff ~ Ebert ~ Ah Chee ~ S.Gray

EMG: O'Shea ~ Impey ~ Toumpas

  • Krakouer not considered as he is on the rookie list for now.
  • Toumpas could make the 22 but needs a big pre-season.
  • O'Shea and Impey very interchangeable for about half a dozen members of the 22.
  • Quality on the interchange and emergency lines, let alone not in the extended 25, absolutely ridiculous.
  • #wegoportgood

Our forward line could end up looking very different to the ones posted here. Schulz for example has always struggled working with another key tall, and his output isn't that great these days anyway, so it'll be interesting to see if he fits. I'd also like to see Neade/Amon/Palmer get games next year, looking to replace White and Monfries at some point in the near future.

Lot of 'ifs' there that should be sorted through preseason. We're getting some very good depth, but need to keep people out of the injury room and in form.

That's my 27. I hate to pull any single Player out of that 27 , very strong.

The good news is our maggies could be strong next year with a nice midfield if we don't have too many injuries.

Byrnes jones / clurey / krak
oshea / Austin / p.stew
Amon / young / hoon
Palmer / Howard / Toumpas
Neade / butcher / ah chee
Frampton / summerton / s.gray
Int: ?

I expect that not all of those players would be lining up in th maggies at the same time as some should hopefully be up in the league side but that is a taste of some of the players.

Back six feels the hardest to sort out.
FB - Carlile
CHB - Trengove
Are probably the only two set in stone.
Leaves Hombsch, Broadbent, Hartlett, Impey, Krakour, Pittard, Jonas and O'Shea for the final four spots. No reason for a poor defense this year.

I also wonder how much White's speed is valued. May be the only thing keeping him in the side atm.

Reckon Westhoff will play more of a utility than forward.

Cheers for the response. You certainly look the goods from the outside and if you have a good run with injury then I'm sure you'll be around the top 4. Dixon is a very good get.

I would have Krakouer in my best team but he's on the rookie list so I had to leave it out of it. Our back 6 is extremely strong and versatile. Our midfield actually now has depth given Sam Gray and Ah Chee's showing late last year. Our forward line is as good as any in the competition. Easily the strongest side (on paper, strictly talent wise) since 2004.
