Only changes i'd make is Krakouer & Jonas in, White & Monfries out at this stage.

I love the prospect of Nathan Krakouer with another pre-season under his belt being able to play just about anywhere.

Surely, surely he looks after himself during the off season.

Unpopular opinion, but I agree. I rate all those players you mentioned and should all be best 22 but Krak is probably that missing link with his unbelievable foot skills. Gee we missed Polecs run along the wings last season! Addition of those 2 guys to the team will make a big difference to rebound 50s next season.

Totally agree, I rate all those players, but their foot skills is the biggest let down. As hard as we work on their skills over preseason, they aren't going to be able to add the penetrating pin point kicks we require.

He would be replacing Moore at this stage as player 25 and would have to have outstanding games to be top 22 by round 1.

Somehow it never happens. I think all known injuries would be ready by then (Polec?). But there's always some pre-season casualties.

Pretty well spot on IMO.
I don't think our best 22 will be our round 1 team however. See Polec starting in the Magpies for a week or two.

Schulzenfest's brother is typing this post to let you all know that Schulzenfest had a rage-induced aneurysm upon seeing Sam Gray named in the forward line. Your get well messages will be much appreciated.

I like the look of both these teams. I think 15 blokes are absolute locks in the AFL team (highlighted above) regardless of opposition/matchups/weather and they'd have to be in absolutely woeful form for an extended period to be dropped (I'm 50/50 on Ebert...). Looking at the Magpies team, we clearly need to draft another key/tall defender.

Surely if Krakeour is fit, he's best 22 material. At times last year, his skills were a class above the rest. A smokey for AA honours if he can increase his fitness base.

If he was on the main list, I'd definitely have him in the 22.
