LicoriceAllsorts did something very similar this summer over a bottle of passion pop.
Was expecting passion pop to be like one of these things:

I was disappointed

Demaryius Thomas robbing the Broncos blind. Not quite a JaMarcus robbery but a robbery nonetheless.

Jarius Bryd's agent schooled them Saints also. Been injury plagued but still very disappointing.

Giants MLB Jon Beason announced his retirement from the NFL after nine seasons.

Word surfaced Wednesday morning that the Giants were releasing the 31-year-old. Instead of ending his career as a released player, Beason is instead opting for retirement. Beason was the 25th overall pick of the 2005 draft by the Panthers and spent the first six-and-a-half seasons of his career in Carolina before being traded to the Giants midway through the 2013 campaign. He appeared in all 48 games from 2005-2007 before injuries tore his career apart. Beason has battled numerous knee and foot issues and needed another knee surgery this offseason. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and one-time first-team All-Pro.

Browns OLB Armonty Bryant has been indicted on two counts of felony drug possession stemming from his December 25 arrest in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Former Browns DB De'Ante Saunders has been indicted for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. The two are scheduled to be arraigned in court on February 24. Highway patrol troopers found guns, ammo, and prescription drugs Adderall and OxyCodone in the car early Christmas morning. Saunders was released from the practice squad, and Bryant was benched for the final two games of the season after registering 5.5 sacks on the year.

Percy Harvin is the king of robbery - so many teams have pay handsomely for nothing other than imagined potential.....

Spotrac has his cash earnings for 2009 to 2015 at $41,347,500 (http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/percy-harvin/cash-earnings/), that works out to $10,285.45 for every single receiving yard in his career (8 seasons 4,020 receiving yards). He has scored 32 TDs in his career (22 receiving, 5 rushing, 5 kick returns) and that equates to $1,292,109.38 per TD!

Provided the Jags and Raiders don't do anything stupid in going for a big marquee signing there a plenty of mid-tier FAs to really improve their teams.

RBs: Starks (GB), West (KC), Turbin (DAL)
TEs: Fleener (IND), Allen (IND), Green (SD)
LBs: Neal (GB), Perry (GB), McClellin (CHI), Barron (LA)
CB: Hayward (GB), Claiborne (DAL)
SS/FS: Abdul-Quddus (DET)

Then you've got the guys who are going to be earning big dollars/franchised: JPP, Von, Jeffery, Berry, Sean Smith, Trevathan, Weddle, Wilkerson, Irvin, Norman.

The names I have consistently seen for the franchise tag include: Alshon Jeffery, Cordy Glenn, Mo Wilkerson, Von Miller, Josh Norman & Justin Tucker

and you're right about the mid-tier free agents. The 2nd wave of free agency is my favourite time of the year - get the big names out of the way and then start looking at the value signings....

Loved Bease back in the day, he was Kuechly before Kuechly was Kuechly. As soon as he did his achilles it was all down hill with injury from there unfortunately.

Too many injuries even with the Giants, im suprised he lasted as long on the roster as he did.

Yea that pretty insane, guy has made $41 mil off potential.

Cordelle Patterson is Percy Harvin lite. Minus the migraines, hip, ankle injuries etc etc... and the pay cheque

And the football talent.

Honestly, heartbreaker than he's never put it together. Offered high end/elite production per age year til he got unlucky with more long term injuries.

Yup, Cordarrelle Patterson is basically only on the Vikings as a specialist kick returner. He still hasn't worked out how to run a route, which is a crying shame....

I hope the NFL don't schedule the Panthers/Broncos game next season in week 1. It'd be a waste. It'd be better to have it in week 5-7. The season is in full swing, and there'll be a big build up to it.

Better to troll the patties and send them there in week 1.
Season kick off is only 217 days, 15 hours, 54 minutes and 35 seconds away :(

I don't give a **** about when the season stats for everybody else. Carolina's season starts in the NFC championship game.

Arrogance is not only restricted to the QB. Being a motor racing fan it's fairly obvious to everyone that you would know about performance, so your post is surprising.

See. This is why you should just not quote me. You're responding in the context that I have the arrogance that Carolina will be there.

Whereas, my post is recognising that last week was a missed opportunity for the Panthers (I don't care how confident LicoriceAllsorts was prior). For the Panthers. It's about getting back to the SB, and finishing he job off.

I would call you the Pastor Maldonado of this board. But Pastor has won a race. Maybe you're the Andrea de Cesaris of this board?
