Geez he's special, isn't he?Bruce who is Bruce, o the magpie commentator , isn't he got good hand, isn't that a beautiful kick , on and on
Loved Bruce's comment when introducing Murray - said he was one of the most consistent players at the Open. I reckon runner-up 5 times is REALLY consistent! I also think Murray would be happy to become inconsistent and WIN the bloody thing
Yes that's the best one I forgot lucky you put in.Geez he's special, isn't he?
But would you take 2 aus open champ rather that 5 runner up.$1 million dollars for finishing runner up at a Grand Slam, I'd take that everyday of the week. Not bad for 2 weeks work.
Yes but sometimes you have have to admit your not good enough and someone is better than you.But would you take 2 aus open champ rather that 5 runner up.
And considering Brisbane's track record of talent retention, I can see this ending well.People are questioning GWS strategy of offering a two year contract extension to Cam McCarthy before he has played a game; It is now announced Brisbane have just signed Josh Schache to five years, without having played a game and after training for only two months.

...... pull a Tom Boyd.
Before this, it used to be called 'pulling a Nathan Buckley' or 'pulling an Anthony Rocca'. The draft is great, but there are always blokes who will race off home at the first opportunity.
Interestingly, in all 3 examples it's non-Vic clubs getting screwed over.... Though on the flipside, we got McPharlin after just 1 year at Hawthorn.
The AFL would need to consider restraint of trade provisions if trying to limit length of contracts and I am sure the Players Association would have something to say about that. This is definitely intended to advantage the club and severely restrict the options for a young footballer of 18 years of age.
Hard not to be cynical especially with the other controversial case currently playing out under the public eye.
Brisbane must be aware of it therefore this move is unconscionable.
It could even be suggested that Brisbane have pre-empted an AFL restriction on such contracts and have rushed this move.

The fact that he was able to win a brownlow on the types of drugs he was on - he's a much greater footballer than we first thought.Cousins' name should have 2 asterix put next to it though
When you say it like that, it's pretty damning for the sport isn't it..Accidental head knock = no Brownlow for you. Winning based on improvements made through taking performance enhancing drugs = congratulations! Who cares about integrity.
