I really like the Matera comparison, in term of style of play and what he can offer. Hopefully at the end of the day they can be considered similar.

Cliffs:

  • He is happy to be back and playing with the team he grew up supporting
  • Shaved the beard because he couldn't breath in the hot weather
  • Hasn't missed a session
  • Used to play basketball as well as a junior
  • Played at Swans then left to play back down south for cash and sheep, played with his dad, and brothers
  • Loves preseason "no better feeling, even though it hurts"
  • Came across with a great attitude.

Not wanting to start the debate on if the trade was good or bad. But Sinclair's stats against port were:

Goal.Behind 1.3
Disposals 9 (5k, 4H)
Marks 4
Tackles 4
Hitouts 16
Clangers 2

Jetta:
Goal.Behind .1
Disposals 3 (2k, 1H)
Marks 1
Tackles 4

Jetta will be
- the 226th player to debut for West Coast (assuming Cole doesn't get a late call-up, in which case he'd push Jetta to 227th).
- the first player to play for the Sydney Swans before representing West Coast (a number of players have played for both, but apart from Peter Melesso they all played for West Coast first. Melesso played a single game for the Swans in 1981 when they were still South Melbourne).
- the sixth player to wear the #23 but the first midfielder, the others (Bartlett, Rance, Harding, Fewster, Glass) were all talls.
- the second Lewis (or third if you count Chris Lewis)
