Fun Facts:

Barracked for North As A Kid (BFNAAK)

Whole family are North mad, his mum put on a special food platter for the recruiters when they
came to visit (something they didn't do for other clubs) and Mitch considered wearing his north gear to the interview.

The pick used to take Mitch was the pick that got passed between 5 different trades to land at North.

What they say:

"The ultimate professional in the way he attacks training and rehab. His work ethic behind the scenes is highly rated by the Tasmanian coaching staff and they have been raving about the fact that he has recovered from an ACL in such a way."- Matthew Grundy

"Clubs like players who have a point of difference, and Hibberd has it with his mix of athleticism and run. He also separates himself from the pack a little with his ability to play in a whole range of different positions."- Callum Twomey

"Great athleticism, speed and a willingness to run and carry from defence. Finds the footy with ease and has played a lot of footy on a wing where he’s demonstrated he can be a volume accumulator. Has had a bad run of injury that saw him overlooked in 2014, but was a standout at the championships for Tasmania. A strong mark, great kick and a creative player who could progress into a tall midfielder."- Paige Cordona
