Career Highlights:

2013 Forecast:

Acquired by Carlton in the 2002 draft at pick 45, Simpson was drafted to the blues alongside Brad Fisher in a draft consisting of players such as Brendan Goddard and Daniel Wells. Recruited from Emerald/Eastern U18, Simpson was positioned as a wingman due to his slight frame and blistering pace. Due to his ability to run the lines showing tremendous courage, Simpson was touted as a 2nd round choice.

After a slow start to his career, Simpson played in the Blues 2005 Pre-season Premiership side without having much of an impact. Things weren't looking great. Come season's end, Kade looked set to never play an AFL game for Carlton again. Then a miracle occured.

Simpson put the pedal to the metal in the latter half of the 2005 season, thus earing himself a rising star nomination. Things were looking up for young Kade.

Simpson exploded into his 2006 season AFL season, palying all 22 games and gathering a total of 420 disposals. His sensational season earned him a spot in the international rules team to take on Ireland.

Unlucky to miss out on a postion in Carlton's leadership group, Simpson has come a long way since being drafted and with his newly grown shaggy hair, Kade "Simmo" Simpson is braced to set the field alight.

His stats are as follows:

Jumper No: 6

Draft history: 2002 National AFL Draft 4th round selection (Carlton) No. 45 overall.

NAB AFL Rising Star nominee 2005; pre-season premiership side 2005.

It's easy to forget he's only played 22 games, he had a good grounding in the two's & its hard to remember anyone from Carlton since the draft's inception having as much an impact as Kade has in his 22 games ( except Murphy ).

Sorry guys was looking at matches last year not career matches, thought it was too good to be true.

One of my main criticisms of Kade in 2005 was his slow, or poor decision making while running forward.
Last year he improved this immensely.
Last night, again he choose to bounce and run while hovering a outisde F50, then pulling the trigger.......all the while the Ctas pushed numbers back and more often than not he choose the wrong option - Fev with 4 defenders.
I love the guy for where he has come from and what he has achieved, but he was one of the main culprits last night with our poor delivery to the forwards.

Has he gone AWOL This year??

His 50th game is coming up... maybe it's nerves about that? Who knows, but he's really quite quiet this year.:(

HE'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simmo was probably our best player last night-got the ball a lot in the middle and streamed forward a few times-3 goals is a great return. Hopefully he played himself into some form.

How good is it that we are now starting to have some genuine goal kicking midfielders!?!?!
