Lloyd said that if Winderlich was mentally done, they'd respect his decision, but Winderlich still loved the game. He also said that other clubs had been circling.
Was so hoping this was true, then I looked at your user name and was so dissapointed, no God would ever leave EFC...but then your avatar gave me great hope...Paddy and Winders must stay...

As usual, more mayo Jon has his facts wrong. He states that Fletch is 38, but he's 39 and will be 40 next year!! 40!!!
His 40th is on May 7 (I only know that cos we share the same birth date) which falls on a Thursday.

His 7th game will be no.400 and round 7 fell on May 3rd this year.

Make Thursday the 7th of May an Essendon home game afl. Imagine that? Fletch playing his 400th game on his 40th birthday.
