Fletch is also playing on because he's still an important part of the team. Matthew Watson and Ben Brown dominating us proves that. With Fletch in we would've won those two games.

Would love him to play as a specialist sub most weeks (assuming the sub rule still exists). Would keep him relatively fresh and stop us making a mess of the sub selection because I think he could really thrive in that role, either forward or back.

His 40th is on May 7 (I only know that cos we share the same birth date) which falls on a Thursday.

His 7th game will be no.400 and round 7 fell on May 3rd this year.

Make Thursday the 7th of May an Essendon home game afl. Imagine that? Fletch playing his 400th game on his 40th birthday.
