Geez that's poor defending from the Victory.

Reeeeeeeeeeeally hoping the Nix can grab a draw here but watch Archie win it.

What a win for the Nix. Huge. Next weeks game is even bigger now in NZ. Huge test for us it will be, we never win over there.

Would take a draw over there, but who knows with Adelaide at the moment. Will probably win 4-0 over there before dropping points to a bottom 4 side at home (haven't checked fixture)

Melbourne Victory’s weakness is it defence got to question Nathan Coe, Jason Geria are up to A-League standards. And why let Adrian Lejar go ? (With no replacement) Leigh Broxham is not tall enough to play Central Defence on a regular basis and with Matthieu Delpierre not having played since October; you cannot win trophies with a weak defence as the Victory have.

Out coached. Those who said Merrick couldn't coach and wanted him out must be feeling a tad awkward.

Always thankful to Merrick for the two premierships and championships he contributed to us, but to be honest he was past his use by date at Victory. That final season he re-signed a lot of the older players who where past it and couldn't even recruit a striker for the start of the season then when he did it was Ricadonkey on marquee wages ffs! It left us high and dry for the disaster the next season imo.
The club needed a change whether that's for the good in the long run is up for debate maybe a discussion for another time. Could Merrick have delivered Victory another trophy?

yes I agree Muscat was out coached by the A-league managerial master today!

He is doing well at the Phoenix and I wish him all the best, hope it continues he sure deserves it.

Thing is we had a perfect Defender on the bench, when we where 2-1 up after Kosta's goal Delpierrie should have come on to sure up the defence, Muscat left it to late and let our young defenders exposed for to long, poor form.

Delpierrie looked good when he come on didn't miss a beat, we will look much comfortable in defence from now on when he starts. Lets hope.

Coe well thats a different problem altogether just does not know how to read a flight of the ball. Unfortunately we can't fix that position till the end of the season because Thomas is just as bad.

We were flat for large parts of today's game, didn't take our chances in the first half and defended poorly in the second. Congrats to Wellington though, they looked good today.

I thought the defence was solid for the first half of the game, but seemed to get complacent in the second. Wellington's second goal was completely unacceptable, an unchallenged back-post header from a conventional set piece shouldn't be occurring at this level.

Really should have no excuses, playing at home, fresh after a week off, nice day perfect conditions for football and Archies 200ths!! and the players can't get up for it??

if you can't get up for that then what do the players want? They all deserve a flogging post match.

yep very amateurish, as I said left exposed it was coming had Delpierrie been on probably wouldn't have happened.

4 points separates the top 5 which is awesome for the league. Victory blew a golden chance with a game in hand, as did we Friday night. Some huge games coming all round.

Its like no team wants that top spot.:p So many chokes from the top four the past month.
Sydney has creeped up only one point behind and are the form team yet look very vulnerable and underwhelming when they win.

Strange sort of season how Perth are still top without winning a match in seven rounds is astounding in itself.
