Notice the SA plate.?
That place was the compensation for being a kid in the era that walking round stinky mangrove swamps was considered a fun and educational day out by my parents.
That playground has a carpark that many a young hoon learned how to do doughies and figure eights. Most car thiefs out of Elizabeth headed for the play ground after succesfully stealing a car. Most though, didn't make it across Port Wakefield road from blowing the rear tires
When my car was stolen it got taken to Wingfield and set on fire...
Elizabeth wouldn't be the first place insurance salesman pay kids to steal cars to increase business...yeh except I only had third party, not fire and theft...
I used to think Edithburgh was the windiest place on earth, would always be blowing a gale whenever we would go there.Technically not in Adelaide itself, but spent many a weekend away swimming in this place:

How is the old St Kilda playground? Haven't been there in years, have heard most of the fun stuff is long gone?
Yep and the squid were so big you need a crane to pull them up on the jetty.I used to think Edithburgh was the windiest place on earth, would always be blowing a gale whenever we would go there.
Hell yeah Dazzleland. That didn't last long.
Still remember the ad, "Come on down to Razzle Dazzle LAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaand!" Was desperate to go there but could never convince mum and dad that it was worth the trip up from the country.
