Ah well. Just a shame, might have inspired some more Aussie interest in soccer.

Good game at least, heart in mouth stuff towards the end.

At least we have some hot supporters...

Was gonna mention this too, ladies doing us proud

:(

Shattered. Gutted.

What a lost opportunity. So many chances to win it and it just wouldn't go in

Heartbreaking, but they were fantastic

But.....faaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkk :(

Ah that's a damn shame.

Stay on your man, Carney. That was s**t.

Kewell could have done better with some of his chances as well.

In the end, Japan deserved it. Both good sides and it was always going to be one of us.

Their keeper was a dead set w***er too.

He was Luke Hodging it up with the famed grimace, letting everyone know how tough he is.

Chest beater of the highest order.

They didnt deserve to win imo. We were clearly the better team. But thats football for ya:(. Quality finish though for their goal. The ball just wouldnt go in for us either:thumbsdown:

And who the **** is kilkenny?!? total plonker. Stupid sub imo.

Well bring on 2015. Where this feeling will drive us to winning it.

In spite of how shattered we all are I thought it was a terrific performance by us.

Neill was outstanding, Kewell was always dangerous (yes he should've buried that chance), Matty McKay had a great tournament, and I thought Jedinak, Wilkshire, the Og and Valeri were all terrific tonight as well

Essentially it was a great performance that lacked finishing and a little luck

Well done Australia, you have done us proud :thumbsu:
