He kinda has held a grudge against Sydney since his failed attempt at being channel 9 boss.
Nah! That's just Eddie being charitable. That's the kind of guy he is " sensitive and caring". Would have been a tongue in cheek comment just to try and lift your spirits, or maybe just to twist the knife in a bit deeper.
