The Port ultra-fitness things a load of BS.

It wasn't.

But clubs have responded.

Freo have done 30% more running in the off-season (apparently a fact - it is told by their whole club). The Blues have even done a few jogs around the oval in the off-season.

Port imo got teams by surprise but running power can be caught up on in 1 off-season so it's not such a big weapon anymore.
