Just trying to see solving clash issues is as difficult as the AFL makes it out to be. I'll also try and avoid white clash jumpers where I can, I'm a big believer in the return of the white umpires uniform in some form.

Starting off with the Crows, The home remains the same, I've brought back their red away jumper, and chosen the obvious clash jumper (This is one of the rare occasions where a white jumper actually looked better than using a club colour as a base).

I like it, apart from the antiquated "white shorts for away" rule you seem to have included

It throws the balance of the kits out the window.
It's a tricky one to overcome I've found. It could be easily fixed by making the shorts match the dominant colour of the jumper and the vast majority of the time it works. However having Hawthorn in gold shorts, and GWS in orange don't look all that nice. But I'll give it a crack, to see if it is any better.

Good idea, but surely it'd be better to have accurate kits for the home teams. I lean towards GWS, West Coast, Essendon, Gold Coast and Collingwood. That way, you can make an accurate Clash Chart, not a hypothetical one.

By the time Clash jumpers look like this, it'll be 2016 and West Coast will be wearing navy wings at home. :thumbsu:

Fair point, I hate GWS and West Coast's home jumpers with a passion being so unbalanced. Essendon's is still a sash, Collingwood's I prefer to be traditional, and Gold Coast I just think is boring. But I can do that too.

So I'll keep the jumpers as they are in 2014-15 and have the shorts in whatever looks best with the jumper similar to the NRL's policy.

I understand why you would do that, but to create a proper clash guide, itd work a lot better to have the real home kit

Melbourne, played around with their white clash a bit to try and come up with something a little more unique. Obviously the current white clash works well but I just thought this would be a bit more fun even if it most likely will never get used.

What this does show however is that red clash jumpers need to be used more often, using red alone can cut the use of white jumpers in half across the league.

Essendon. Again, bringing in a red clash jumper reduces the use of the silver jumper significantly and personally I would love to see teh return of the red shorts for away games. While I know the silver jumper is unpopular among many fans it does serve an important purpose and if it is done properly can look hald decent I believe.

Essendon away jumpers.

Carlton clash chart a little trickier. I still prefer the Blues to wear blue and not white so I think a powder blue jumper should be used. Clash jumpers need to be created with the idea of making it part of the club's identity, and powder blue would be unique in the AFL. While light blue shorts could be used I think the white shorts actually compliment the jumper more and make the whole kit more visually appealing. But the tricky bit when it comes to Carlton is their insistence to wear their home jumper against "traditional rivals" when they all wear dark jumpers. I've tried to coem up with a compromise jumper for such occasions and it does work making them look considerably lighter than Essendon and Richmond. The jumper against Collingwood is somewhat adequate (just) however I personally think the whole clash issue there would be better fixed if the Pies wore their traditional jumper...hell even if they did it only for games against "traditional rivals" with their black shorts that would be a better solution.
