Round 6 - "The Bright Suns" - AFL 2013 Round 6 Gold Coast v Fremantle x264 VB



This round we faced the new kids on the block, well atleast slightly new now being 2-3 years old. A bunch not to be joked around with.
Last time we played them they nearly stole our lunch money and pulled our pants down. This time it was no "maneno" - swahili for no joking around, we meant business so even after being jumped out of the blocks like we always seem to do at the start of the year we caught up and re grouped and then got over the Line.

This is one mob you dont want to joke around with with a midfield littered with MVP 2013, NAB Rising Winner 2013, Harley Bennell and soon Jack Martin god looking scary.

Episode - 7 "The Black and White Army Wobbles"

Again this match was pumped out to be another true test for us with the pies always supposedly being a test,lol. Well they all got it wrong with our boys not taking this lightly and especially after Eddies gaff in the finals the pies will never be a team we will take lightly. Me made pie stew out of this mob.

Round 8 - "The Swan Song - One Punch Less"

This was the true test for us, this round reminded me of when Pav mighty Pav single highhandedly won us the match. But this time it wasn't going to be as easy. Young Hannebry got away from our Clamp Crowley and we were about to loose this match and bang at 3qtr time RTB gave the mob the marching orders and we kicked into gear and took it like do or die and dying seconds one punch and we could have won instead we draw. Ah well now we know their game plan for next week.

Round 9 - "Send the Demons to Hell"

This was a no brainer, in fact should be a percentage booster, already thinking about percentage at round 9. With the chance to show the Victorians a clinic of how football is played we did the demons back to their place. And boy this was a clinic with Ballaz having a goal feast and competing with Tendai on who wins Dream Team points. And as usual polished mundy, Barlow,Clancy and Fyfe all get 30+ possessions each.

Round 10 - "Crow Eating Mongrel - The Comming of Sutcliffe"

This was meant to be a game we shouldnt have won like the final against the cats, playing at AAMI park our arch nemesis who put us out of the finals race in 2012. It was a tough struggle at first fighting to and forth crows leading most of the time but come Super Sub Sutcliffe and the magic starts as he passes the ball magically to Barlow who kicks the goal that gives us the lead and then in the dying minutes after some heroics from the Dangerfield mouse, sutcliff bobs up and kicks a sliding goal between 3 crows trying to peck his eyes out. But at the end we prevail.

Round 12 - "Taming the Lions"

This was always going to be an uneasy match with old coach now plotting all his hatred against us. But RTB is no Mug, well he is a glass half full person but he planned methodically how to get rid of them lions poached theirs stars one by one and we got over the line, with the mid season break coming soon we were glad to get this win on the board and move on for a nicely deserved break.

Round 15 - "Oh When the Saint's - Go Marching Home"

This was meant to be a grudge match and thats how it started with the saints fighting their way to a handy lead, but then we woke up and decided enoughs enough lets them packing back to their victorian stated country town called Melbourne so then we picked up the pace and sent them packing/marching back home.

Round 13 - "Pinching the Boomer - Harvey - The 300 Pinches"

This round was meant to be a true test for FFC but boy oh boy did we pull the pants down for the Roos.
Some would have said we had a good mean of the Roo Stew, but the game was more known for the 300 Pinch Match. Whatever the case we established ourselves as arrived true finals contenders here and won remarkabley.

Round 18 - "Dangerfield the Mighty Lone Warrior"


This was a tough one never an easy assignment to go to AAMI and win against the crows, and this being the team that knocked us out of the finals in 2012 it was again a grudge match full of emotion. But as RTB says emotion is just an action, we had plenty of action in us. All the way was a tussle till came the winning moment where we won the tussle over from the one man crow army of Dangerfield.

This was meant to be an easy week and yes it was a simple match we thrashed them not much else to day here.

Round 22 - "No Power in Power"

This was meant to be a true test, when we play a top 8 team, as everyone said we have too easy a run. Well times have changed we did make it easy by pulling the power out of port power.

Like every other week this was meant to be a tough match, but like Sydney did in the Prelim to them we clinically disposed of the blues and made a mockery of Micks strategy of playing through the wings.
