Reiwoldt better than Carey?

Pretty sure Wayne Carey dominated from 1994 to 2000. Aslo Lockett, Dunstall, and Lloyd a bit stiff to miss out in the forward line

Andrew Kellaway - Jonathan Hay - Nick Maxwell
Adam McPhee - Joel Bowden - Campbell Brown
Austinn Jones - Jason Johnson - James Kelly
Matthew Lappin - Cameron Mooney - Mitchell White
Paul Medhurst - Billy Brownless - Leon Davis

Michael Gardiner - Darynn Cresswell - Chad Fletcher

Nick Smith, Andrew Mackie, Brett Montgomery, Drew Petrie

Wanganeen, Scarlett, Fletcher
McLeod, Jakovich, Enright
Long, Voss(C), Matera
Hird, Carey(VC), Franklin
Ablett snr, Lockett, Milne
Cox Ablett jnr Judd
Black, R Harvey, Buckley, Ricciuto

That's from 92 onwards, tried to pick genuine wingmen instead of just extra midfielders. Milne maybe a shock but wanted a genuine small forward and he had the best credentials for mine.

COACH: L Matthews
ASSISTANT A Clarkson

Andrew Kellaway - Jonathan Hay - Nick Maxwell

Matthew Lappin - Cameron Mooney - Mitchell White

Good side - except for long. Any of your bench players to the wing and bring Dunstall onto your bench - he is too good to miss this side.

I wanted to pick genuine wings, plenty others more decorated than Long but fits the bill for the wing. Could probably replace Milne with Jarman thinking about it again.

I like it and also like the selection of Richo. Out of interest, why Richo rather than Lloyd, Hall, Fev etc?

Ah, bye week threads. :)

Mine, watching since about 88-89.
B: Wanganeen, Silvagni, Enright
HB: McLeod, Jakovich, Hodge
C: Buckley, R.Harvey, Goodes
HF: Franklin, Carey, Daicos
F: Farmer, Lockett, Ablett Snr
R: Cox, Voss, Ablett Jr
Int: Judd, Pendlebury, S. Johnson, Sandilands

Seems ridiculous to leave N. Riewoldt and Dunstall out, but with Lockett, Carey, Ablett Snr and Franklin AND both of Cox and Sandilands in, it feels too tall anyway. Helps that Franklin and Ablett are anything other than regular KPFs.

Guys like Riciutto, Clement, Simon Black and Greg Williams ridiculously stiff as well. Kouta as well probably.

Cousins over Pendles. Lol.

This is a great debate.
Cousins has won a brownlow, has six all australians, 4 bnfs, AFLPA award and in 2003 came one vote from winning the brownlow.

Pendlebury has 3 bnfs, 5 all australians, a norm smith and came 3rd in the brownlow.

Even if you want to do this solely on awards won, it hardly seems like a lolworthy comparison. Both are very highly decorated. Yes, Cousins won a Brownlow, but Pendles as you say has been top 3 as well. He's probably goong to win his fourth BnF and 6th All-Aus this year on present form, equally Cousins while still having a couple more years at his peak to come.

You seem to be putting a lot of weight in the Brownlow as stamping him as clearly superior to a mid without one. Does that mean Priddis is better than Mitchell or Pendlebury?

In that vein, Pendlebury won a Norm Smith and Cousins didn't.

But ultimately its about my opinion after watching them both pay a lot of football. Givrn the other mids in ny team, I think Scott adds more to the team.

Except cousins was the clear best in 05, everyone had him as the best afl player that year. Any way you look at it cousins is the superior footballer and always will be. Is the best footballer to ever play for a WA team.
