Gotta love these delusional right wingers who still think the LNP are of some relevance. Electoral wipe out coming for these morons very soon and most of Australia can't wait for that day.

Loving this groupthink

Here's another one of them

It goes like this:

The majority of people in some public forum express similar opinions on some topic of public interest.
Those opinions differ from mine.
The majority opinions must, therefore, be wrong.
I am certain that my opinion on the subject is based on deep, insightful and rational thinking.
The majority opinions therefore cannot have been based on critical evaluation of the correct viewpoint, namely mine.
They must, therefore, have been formed solely because all members of the majority wanted to be part of the group.

It's illogical, based on false premises, demonstrates nothing but hubris on the part of the "individual", and is symptomatic of the intellectual poverty of the modern right.

Katherine Murphy - funny but true:

Abbott, these days, having been dispossessed of his leadership, is not too busy to campaign. In fact that’s all he does. Now he specialises in destruction.

His talents in the barn-burning field are peerless. So far he’s managed to destroy three governments, including, memorably, his own; and he has eyes, locked, grimly, on the routing of a fourth.

Elevating it to a calling took that little extra rhetorical flourish of saying no to political correctness. Voting no would not only stop the legalisation of same-sex marriage, it would help to stop political correctness in its tracks.

You could almost see him rehearsing that insight in the bathroom mirror. You bet you are. You bet I am.

Abbott wants the voters to see him as the prime minister in exile, the true prophet of disaffection, and Turnbull to dance to his tune, like a limp puppet on a string.

Group stroke?

My fave Tim Blair moment

When he got salty over a facebook page that was created as a pisstake.

" TONY ABBOTT - Worst Pm in Australian history " was created 20 minutes after he won the election as a direct " * you " to the " JULIA GILLARD - Worst Pm in Australian History " page that had been up for a few years.

2 days later Tim wrote an article having a crack at the gall of them

What a sad little ******* lol

Despite all that , he's STILL a better bloke than the COWARD

I still can't believe he became PM. That's got to be an all-time low for Australia.

He became PM because:

1. Murdoch media.
2. Poorly understood reasons for budget deficit. It was never emergency level.
3. Perpetuated myth seeking asylum by boat is illegal. Regardless of your stance on the issue of "boat people" the illegal argument is bullshit. I don't mind different opinions but have no time for crappy arguments.
4. Julia couldn't sell the carbon tax. It's a hard one. Big energy companies might have turned to renewables because of the raised price of carbon, thereby in the long run reducing electricity prices. Unfortunately there's not enough Australians that take global warming seriously, though, although to be fair the US/China/India/EU are the biggest polluters.

I disliked John Howard's right wing religiosity, but admired his tenacity to hang around long enough to eventually win an election and the fact that despite his personal beliefs he tried to govern for all Australians. Abbott is just a nasty, mean spirited cnt of a person who would and has thrown his own sister under a bus for his personal ambition.
He literally makes me nauseous.
A world without him in it would be a better place.
He literally drags the species down.

For anyone who has watched the "Alien" movies, Abbott is akin to that thing which clamps onto your face and then strangles the life out of you before planting a foreign growth in you and then tearing your chest out...The foreign body is his medieval religious belief.

Abbott though is less likeable and far less necessary in the universe.

The only one who keeps attacking their sibling in public is Abbott's sister. She couldn't help herself again the other day.
