FM Andover Town - Starting from scratch

Hey guys, haven't done an FM story in a while so thought I'd start with a club that hadn't played a game before the start of FM14 so therefore, I'd be making history with them. The club is Andover Town and they compete in Division One of the Wessex League. This is the 10th level of the English football system. So in other words, it's a long way to the top. I probably won't reach it, but hey I might as well try.

Portway Stadium, Andover:

That's right folks, the stadium is an unfenced field that is in the middle of an athletics track. Apparently according to FM, the stadium fits 3000 with 250 seated. Pitch condition is 'poor' with training facilities 'poor', youth facilities 'basic' and shock horror, corporate facilities 'poor'.

Playing squad:

To make things worse, the club has two players which are eligible for contracts. Both are 20 years old and one is a central midfielder, the other a striker. Obviously we have to get a lot of free transfers to actually build up a list. That's our first challenge. Then winning games and playing friendlies to earn money.

August, 2013:

I've now been here at Andover Town just over a month, starting from scratch has been difficult. With no transfer budget and being a level 10 English side, it's hard to attract quality players. So I've brought in a bunch of guys I hope can get me promotion. With a few more to come in order to strengthen the midfield, I think the team is looking strong considering.

To give you an idea what I'm working with, this is my best player:

Although another player I like is:

Having 13 passing and 19 stamina is beyond elite in this league. He'll be crucial through the middle this season.
