Loving Gaffy this season. I'm not sure if he's still being tagged but most of the time it looks like he doesn't have an opponent (testament to his (and Masto's) running capacity). If he can get stronger in the contest he'll be elite. Right now he's a very good outside runner and his decision-making has improved immensely, as expected.

Must keep.

Love the clearance numbers and contested possessions climbing, however, the jump in 1%ers this year is equally impressive and valuable.

So impressive in fact that I double checked and realised that I made a mistake

It's 1.1. I copied down the I50's twice for 2015

Further to my comments earlier in this thread re Gaff's contested game v Masten's - there were at least a couple of occasions on Friday where he was able to get a good handball off while being tackled. Something Masten has never been able to do. In fact, I don't think Masten has ever had a clean disposal when the opposition is within 3 feet of him.

I think you are wrong

Well that's a bit extreme. Doesn't that sort of thing belong over in the Priddis thread?

Made the AFL's team of the week.

ANDREW GAFF (West Coast) - Another strong game from the outside specialist, who ranks No.1 in the AFL for uncontested possessions. Gaff racked up 31 disposals and seven inside 50s against Richmond and was arguably the match's most influential ground-level midfielder.

Gaffy plays his 100th game against Collingwood in a few weeks, He and Darling (who plays game 100 against the Bulldogs in RD 21) are currently the best chance to become our first ever 300 gamers you'd think. I along with (I assume) a fair amount of other West Coast supporters thought he would have been long gone by now. Seems to really be enjoying his footy over here and it's showing. Having a great season so far.

I'd say perth is good for anonymity unless you stand out like nicnat, Gaffy being under 6 foot in a crowd would look like a normal bloke, I dare say they wouldn't get that in Vic, which in my opinion has helped the decision to stay

Here's another fun fact, out of Mastens 12 kicks last week, 3 were effective o_O Interesting considering he's apparently playing off a wing and would have space.
Been a bit quiet off the short breaks. Wouldn't be surprised if the bloke was covering over 20kms at pace a game... Does so much heavy lifting with Gaff.

Never thought he'd leave. Very mature and well spoken as a 17 year-old, albeit quiet. Definitely a leader through action and hard-work if not words.

Does it annoy anyone else how footy players refer to their body as 'the body?' Not specifically suited to a Gaff interview, but seemed as good a place as any given the current topic.

Reminds me of Frank "The Body" Gibiatti from The League. Not sure it should irk me as much as it does but they could call it 'my body'.

Doesn't bother me but liked for the Frank Gibiatti reference
